Episode #239
ep. 236 - Everyday is 9/11
It frustrates me to no end that we only get a few days to talk about 9/11. Even fewer now that Charlie Kirk’s death is the day before. The 25th anniversary came and went everything stayed the same. I thought there would be at least something, it being a quarter century since the attacks. Like they would have saved the good stuff for a such an important number. But they did not. And so the ghosts of 9/11 linger. I didn’t use to believe in ghosts, but I’m not sure how else to explain the world we live in today. We are haunted by the cursed actions of our ruling elite. And until we reckon with our ghosts we will be weighed down by their constant presence a every day will be 9/11 like some kind of gruesome Groundhog Day. You'll see the ghosts everywhere you look. In ICE detention facilities, in Palestine, in a girl's school in Iran. I'm afraid that the way we treat 9/11 will be the same way we treat Palestine in a few short years. My documentary about the ghosts of 9/11 that haunt Florida will be out by Halloween. My excuse is that I want to extend the conversation beyond the date itself, but the truth is that I just didn't finish it yet. But that gives me time to make something even more special. Until then, I'll keep reminding everyone what day it is.
