  The Book of Hebrews was written to Jewish Christians who were facing intense persecution and drifting back into Old Testament rituals for safety. The central message is simple and powerful: Jesus is better. He is superior to the angels, to Moses, to the Levitical priesthood, and to the entire sacrificial system of the Old Covenant. His blood provides permanent forgiveness, offered once for all, never needing to be repeated. One of the most sobering truths in Hebrews is that a person can have knowledge of Jesus without having a relationship with Him. Church attendance, service, and religious activity are not the same as genuine faith.
