US National Team Rower Sera Moon Busse Talks Beach Sprints, Goal Setting & Training
There's new rowing discipline debuting at the LA 2028 Summer Olympic Games: beach sprints! It's completely different than traditional rowing (think Head of the Charles Regatta!) but exactly what Sera Moon Busse had always hoped for in the sport. Sera won silver at the 2025 World Rowing Beach Sprints and won back-to-back Canadian Henleys. She's started rowing her sophomore year at Tufts University and was hooked. As a speed and power athlete she was thrilled when beach sprints were introduced. You may also recognize her from Hydrow where she coaches athletes across the globe.
