74 - On Dissonance and Resonance
Recorded from Jake’s white linen adorned home in his absence, Heather and Vesta discuss amongst many things, the recent convergence of so many goth events on one weekend, showing that what can seem like a cohesive community easily factions off into sub-groups, pulled between Thrill Kill Kult, Suicide Commando, Christian Death, and also amongst our regular club nights. We discuss whether hope still exists in the language and aesthetics of despair when words are spells, the idolatry and abjection of Rozz Williams, and what our need for ritual suggests about neurodiversity. And apparently we are going camping. Honorable mention to some deathrock clubs that slipped the mind at the time of recording: Purgatory, Batastrophe, Gallows
