Pensive Oasis

<p>Leo Tolstoy's Anna Karenina is often considered to be among the greatest works of world literature. On the surface, it’s often summed up as the story of an unfaithful woman who meets a tragic end, but that description barely scratches the surface of what this book holds. I used to see Anna as the root of all tragedy, caused by her own selfish decision. Yet after revisiting the book, my view has shifted. Perhaps she is not simply "the" culprit. There’s something more layered and human going on in this story of a love triangle. </p>
