Before You Make Your Next Move, Pray for This | #63
Aug 19, 202616 minS2
Before you make your next move, have you asked God for clarity? In Episode 63 of Transitional Clay , Barry Harper challenges us to seek God's clarity for the season we're in—not just about where we're going, but about who we are becoming along the way . When criticism comes, circumstances change, or a challenge makes you question whether you're on the right path, clarity about your identity in Christ can keep someone else's words from defining you. Barry explains that there are times God may reveal that it's time to pivot—and other times He hasn't released you from the difficult place you're walking through. That's why we need to continually seek Him for direction. In this episode: ✔️ How clarity strengthens your identity in Christ ✔️ Knowing when to stay and when to pivot ✔️ Why clarity requires ongoing prayer ✔️ Responding to negativity with love ✔️ Asking God to search and change your heart ✔️ Giving God the glory when victory comes ✔️ Finding clarity in your work, family, and current season Barry also challenges us to ask God for clarity about the condition of our own hearts: What needs to shift? What needs to be removed? What will help us draw closer to Christ? Don't let confusion make your next decision. Pray for clarity. What does real power look like according to Jesus? The world often defines power through influence, control, position, wealth, or the ability to tell others what to do. Jesus demonstrated something radically different. In Episode 62 of the Transitional Clay Podcast, Barry explores John 13 , where Scripture tells us that Jesus knew the Father had given Him authority over everything. And what did Jesus do with that authority? He removed His robe. He knelt down. And He washed His disciples’ feet. This episode becomes a deeply personal and Spirit-led conversation about: What Biblical authority actually looks like Why Jesus connected leadership with service Loving people without excusing sin The meaning of agape love Serving your spouse and family practically Allowing Jesus to “wash your feet” Choosing truth over deception Letting the Holy Spirit develop Christlike qualities in you Barry also shares a powerful reminder from John 3:16 : God loved the world first. Our responsibility is not to condemn people—it is to love them while still standing firmly on truth. This episode wasn’t delivered exactly as planned. Barry shares that the Holy Spirit redirected the message because someone needed to hear one simple truth: God loves you. There is nothing in your past—or your present—that places you outside His invitation to relationship.
