What if potential clients could hear how you think, understand your process, and trust your approach before they ever booked a sales call? If you are a service provider who wants to use podcasting to build trust, attract clients, and market your business without becoming a full-time content creator, you are in the right place. Podcasting for Service Providers explores how service-based business owners can use podcasting to help potential clients understand, trust, and choose them. You may not need a podcast that publishes every week forever. You need a strategic collection of episodes that communicates your best thinking, shows what makes your work different, answers the questions future clients are already asking, and gives people a reason to take the next step. I’m Allison Nitsch, a podcast strategist and producer who has helped launch more than a dozen podcasts and has produced over 1,000 episodes for my own shows and my clients. After years of working behind the scenes of ongoing podcasts, I began questioning the assumption that every business owner who wants the benefits of podcasting also wants the responsibility of creating new content every week. And as a service provider, you may not need that. I believe your podcast should not become another endless obligation. It should become an asset that keeps helping people discover your work, hear your perspective, understand your process, and decide whether you are the right person to help them. On Podcasting for Service Providers, we will explore questions like: -Do service providers really need a weekly podcast? -How can a podcast help potential clients trust me before a sales call? -What should I talk about if I want my podcast to support my services? -How do I create episodes that showcase my expertise without giving random tips? -How can I explain my process through podcast content? -What questions should my podcast answer before someone hires me? -How can I turn my ideas, stories, values, and client results into bingeable episodes? -Should I start a traditional podcast, a private podcast, or a limited series? -How many episodes does a podcast need to build trust? -How can I use a podcast without becoming a full-time content creator? -What makes a podcast bingeable? -How can my podcast become part of my sales process? -Can a podcast continue working for my business after I stop publishing? -How do I create a podcast that helps listeners understand, trust, and choose me? New episodes release every Wednesday and explore the strategy, messaging, structure, and possibilities behind creating a podcast that supports your business as a service provider and not one that takes it over. Make sure you are following the show so you do not miss the next episode. BONUS: Podcast-First Marketing Is Becoming Podcasting for Service Providers (Why I’m Renaming the Podcast)
Jul 31, 202610 minS0

Quick announcement before we head into next week's episode.

After a year as Podcast-First Marketing, this show will have a new name: Podcasting for Service Providers. If you already follow the show, you do not need to do anything. Same feed, same host, same Wednesday episodes.

In this bonus episode, I'm sharing why the name is changing, where the show is headed, and what you can expect going forward. The short version is, I still believe deeply in podcasting, but I have been rethinking the assumption that every service provider needs a weekly show. The...
57. Marketing Your Podcast Using Pinterest with Andi Smiley
Jul 29, 202637 minS0

If you have been wondering how to market your podcast without feeling like you have to live on Instagram, today's episode is going to feel like a relief.

I am joined by my friend Andi Smiley, who helps podcasters market their show using Pinterest. We talk about why Pinterest works so differently than social media. A pin you create today could bring new listeners to your podcast months or even a year from now, which is the exact kind of long-term content I am always talking about.

Andi walks us through what to pin as...
56. She Hadn't Recorded in 2 Years and People Still Listened
Jul 22, 202614 minS0

I was on a call with a client who stopped releasing episodes two years ago. We pulled up her stats just to move her show to a new host, and her jaw dropped. People were still listening. Twelve plays last month alone, two years after her last recording.

This is not the first time I have seen this happen. Another client of mine took a 13-month break and came back to 2,400 downloads she had no idea she was getting.

In this episode, I'm talking about what it really means for your podcast to keep working...

Every coach I have ever hired was because of their podcast. Not Instagram, not Threads. Even when I discovered someone through social media first, I always ended up at their show before I ever reached out.

That is not a coincidence. Social media is full of content that could have come from anywhere, written by anyone, polished by a tool. But when you hear someone talking, working through a real thought, stumbling on a word and catching it, that is something AI cannot replicate, and your brain knows the difference even when you cannot explain why.
<...

If you have a concern about deliverability, AI quality, data privacy, or whether this will actually work for your specific situation, it's probably answered below.
What is the difference between Founder Solo and Founder Pro?
Founder Solo gives you 50 AI pitches per month using the credit model (Standard pitches cost 1 credit, Enriched pitches cost 2). Founder Pro raises that to 200 credits per month and adds full Booking Probability access, unlimited Magic Match, Apollo enrichment credits, and data export capabilities. Both plans use the same credit system, so you can stretch your monthly budget further by using Standard-mode drafting.
How do agency tiers work?
Agency tiers have no base fee. You pay per managed client and per talent profile. Agency Standard is $199 per client per month; Agency Pro is $399 per client per month. Both add $39 per talent profile per month. Your own team's user seats are always free.
What is a talent profile?
A talent profile represents one person (founder, executive, or spokesperson) you are booking onto podcasts. It includes their bio, topics, headshots, and outreach history. Team plans include 5 profiles; agency plans are pay-as-you-go.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes, at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period. Contact support if you need help migrating between plan families.
Do you offer a free trial?
Every paid plan includes a 15-day free trial. Your card is saved at signup but you will not be charged until day 16. Cancel any time from your dashboard.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep access until the end of your current billing period. No charges after that. Your data is retained for 30 days in case you reactivate.
Is the 20% annual discount automatic?
Yes. Select Annual on the pricing toggle and the discounted price is applied automatically at checkout. The annual price shown is the full year cost.
What if I have more than 50 profiles or 20 clients?
That is our Enterprise tier. Contact our sales team and we will build a custom plan with volume pricing, a dedicated account manager, and SLA guarantees.
