What if some of the most common assumptions about hunger, weight gain, and chronic disease are missing a critical piece of the puzzle? On this episode of the Power of After Show, I'm joined by Dr. John Poothullil for a thought-provoking conversation about hunger signals, metabolic health, and the body's natural ability to regulate itself. Together, we'll explore why obesity, diabetes, and even cancer continue to rise despite decades of conventional health advice, and we'll discuss practical alternatives that challenge mainstream thinking. Whether you're looking to improve your health, understand your body's signals more clearly, or simply hear a different perspective on some of today's biggest health challenges, this episode will encourage you to think deeper about the connection between hunger, nutrition, and long-term wellness. As we move into mid-career and the halftime of life, many of the routines that once shaped our days begin to change. The demands of raising a family lessen, careers evolve or completely change, and new opportunities—and responsibilities—emerge. Instead of having every hour spoken for, we suddenly have more choices about how to spend our time. That freedom is a tremendous gift, but it also requires intentionality. If we don't design our lives around what matters most, it's easy to fill our calendars with activity while neglecting our deeper purpose. Today, we'll explore how developing healthy daily, weekly, and monthly rhythms can help you build a lifestyle that reflects your values, supports your goals, and creates a more purposeful and fulfilling next chapter. 415.Overcoming Loss with Music and Purpose with Mike Gomoll
Aug 3, 202653 min
One of the remarkable things about reaching mid-career—or what I often call the "Power of After" stage of life—is that we have something incredibly valuable to offer: decades of relationships, experience, and the ability to bring people together around a meaningful purpose. Sometimes that purpose grows out of life's greatest joys, and other times it emerges from its deepest heartbreaks. Today's guest, Mike Gomoll, is a powerful example of that. After the devastating loss of his son Joe to epilepsy, Michael and his family transformed their grief into a mission that has touched thousands of lives. Because Joe loved music—even though epilepsy left him non-verbal—they chose music as the vehicle to create hope, awareness, and funding for epilepsy research. Through that mission, they've inspired legendary artists including Cheap Trick, The Go-Go's, Tears for Fears, The Bangles, Guns N' Roses, and many others to perform in the middle of a Wisconsin winter, raising more than two million dollars since 2011. Today we'll talk about overcoming loss, discovering renewed purpose, and how your greatest challenges can become the foundation for your most meaningful impact. Life has a way of rewriting our plans. Just when we think we've settled into a comfortable rhythm, something changes—a career takes an unexpected turn, a relationship shifts, our health demands more attention, or financial and family responsibilities reshape the future we imagined. At mid-career, these moments can leave us wondering whether we're moving forward or simply trying to recover. Yet I've become convinced that setbacks aren't meant to keep us stuck. They can become invitations to grow, adapt, and discover strengths we didn't know we possessed. That's the heart behind today's episode and the message I've been developing for my upcoming book, Move Beyond, releasing later this year. Together, let's explore how to move beyond life's inevitable setbacks with greater confidence, purpose, and hope for what's next. 413.Unlearning Insecure Thinking with Alma Derricks
Jul 20, 202649 min
Feeling like an outsider is far more common than most people admit—and that applies to men just as much as women, even if they don't always say it out loud. Our guest today, Alma Derricks, empowers adventurous leaders and global brands to uncover blind spots and think beyond conventional limits. Having worked with an impressive range of both traditional and creative companies, Alma brings deep insight into what it takes to grow through change. Even if you don't see yourself as an "adventurous leader," this conversation will challenge the insecure voice many of us need to unlearn, helping us embrace creative thinking, self-leadership, and the courage it takes to pivot successfully into what's next. Every question we get asked before someone starts their trial.
If you have a concern about deliverability, AI quality, data privacy, or whether this will actually work for your specific situation, it's probably answered below.
What is the difference between Founder Solo and Founder Pro?
Founder Solo gives you 50 AI pitches per month using the credit model (Standard pitches cost 1 credit, Enriched pitches cost 2). Founder Pro raises that to 200 credits per month and adds full Booking Probability access, unlimited Magic Match, Apollo enrichment credits, and data export capabilities. Both plans use the same credit system, so you can stretch your monthly budget further by using Standard-mode drafting.
How do agency tiers work?
Agency tiers have no base fee. You pay per managed client and per talent profile. Agency Standard is $199 per client per month; Agency Pro is $399 per client per month. Both add $39 per talent profile per month. Your own team's user seats are always free.
What is a talent profile?
A talent profile represents one person (founder, executive, or spokesperson) you are booking onto podcasts. It includes their bio, topics, headshots, and outreach history. Team plans include 5 profiles; agency plans are pay-as-you-go.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes, at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period. Contact support if you need help migrating between plan families.
Do you offer a free trial?
Every paid plan includes a 15-day free trial. Your card is saved at signup but you will not be charged until day 16. Cancel any time from your dashboard.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep access until the end of your current billing period. No charges after that. Your data is retained for 30 days in case you reactivate.
Is the 20% annual discount automatic?
Yes. Select Annual on the pricing toggle and the discounted price is applied automatically at checkout. The annual price shown is the full year cost.
What if I have more than 50 profiles or 20 clients?
That is our Enterprise tier. Contact our sales team and we will build a custom plan with volume pricing, a dedicated account manager, and SLA guarantees.
