Episode 72: We’re Back! We Gave T’s Sister-in-Law a Mic… Family, Siblings & How to Actually Get Along
Episode Description: WE’RE BACK! After a little summer hiatus and four weeks of REWINDS, we are finally back on the mic together, and for our first episode back, we decided to keep things light, silly, and very PIPA. T’s sister-in-law Gina happened to be in town, so naturally, we handed her a microphone. What started as casual banter turned into a hilarious and unexpectedly sweet conversation about in-laws, sibling dynamics, family boundaries, and what it takes to actually build strong relationships within your family. T and Gina have known each other for more than 15 years, and somewhere along the way, “my husband’s sister” became simply my sister. We talk about why people constantly assume they’re actual sisters, how family relationships evolve as we get older, navigating different personalities and boundaries, and why making time for family feels more important than ever in this season of life. There are plenty of laughs, tangents, and family stories, but also a few moments that caught all of us off guard as T and Gina opened up about what their relationship means to each other. Basically, Gina came over to hang out and accidentally became our first guest back. And honestly? It was the perfect way to end our summer break. What We Talk About Why T and Gina are constantly mistaken for actual sisters When an in-law relationship starts to feel like your own family Sibling and sister-in-law dynamics as adults Family boundaries and navigating very different personalities Why some family relationships get stronger with age Making more intentional time for family in your 40s The importance of showing up for your siblings, nieces, and nephews Mixing families, relationships, and all the dynamics that come with them Why the relationships inside a family still take work And a LOT of completely unplanned banter Pink Spotlights Christina: A $50 Oura Ring look-for-less that tracks sleep, activity, and more without the $500-ish price tag. And yes, it’s gold. We love an affordable find. T: In a very on-brand turn of events, T’s Pink Spotlight is yet another recommendation from Gina This week, she’s loving some affordable SHEIN finds for mixing high and low, trying something fun, or grabbing those unique pieces you might only wear once. Gina: Since we had her on the mic, she obviously needed her own Pink Spotlight too. Gina is loving mushroom coffee added to her regular coffee, especially for digestion, plus SpoiledChild liquid collagen, another staple in her routine. We missed you. We missed this.
