Then Mamdani wins a clean primary and the establishment melts down — they'd backed a disgraced Cuomo, got thrashed, and kept slow-walking their own nominee. When a party would rather lose with its handpicked centrist than win with a progressive it didn't choose, it's stopped being about winning elections and started being about protecting a hierarchy. Follow the money: instant unity and a bottomless checkbook for a foreign war, endless "how will you pay for it" for healthcare at home. That's the tell for whose interests they serve. And it all adds up to MAGA-lite — same donor capture, same contempt for the base, same fear-only pitch. Their 2026 plan is "Trump bad," which already lost in 2024. You can't fight Trump by becoming a discount version of him. Bring ideas or lose your seat. And don't let anyone convince you the choice is MAGA vs. MAGA-lite. Primary the jellyfish. It was to attack the scoreboard. I run the fair side — migration is real, he won the popular vote. But winning tells you what people hoped for, not whether it worked. His own 2024 voters slid from 95% to 78% approval. This isn't blue vs. red. It's whether the words matched the results. Failed by their metrics, not mine. Check every number.   When Equality Feels Like Oppression; The Zero-Sum Lie at the Heart of MAGA

  Why does giving marginalized people fair treatment — treatment denied to them for centuries — feel like oppression to a certain group of Americans? There's a peer-reviewed answer, and it explains the whole moment. Guardrail first: not all white people, not most. A specific, loud, politically organized bloc — and a documented psychological pattern researchers have actually measured. In 2011, Harvard's Michael Norton and Tufts' Samuel Sommers published a study with one of the most explanatory titles in social science: "Whites See Racism as a Zero-Sum Game That They Are Now Losing." They asked Black and white Americans to rate discrimination decade by decade. Both agreed anti-Black bias was severe in the 1950s and has declined. But in white respondents' minds, those two numbers were linked — the more they believed racism against Black people had gone down, the more they believed racism against white people had gone up. As if fairness is a fixed pie and every ounce you gain is stolen from me. Black respondents showed no such link. Only one group's mind converted somebody else's fairness into their own loss. Replicated a decade later — same result, with white conservatives specifically seeing themselves as losing the game. The mechanism, plainly: when you're accustomed to privilege, equality feels like oppression. If you spent your life at the front of a line that was built that way before you got there, someone else being allowed into the line feels like they cut you. You didn't lose your spot. You lost the exclusivity — and a movement grew up around mourning that and calling it persecution. Want proof? Don't listen to what they say — watch what they dismantle. DEI (who's liberated when you remove the rule that says "don't discriminate"? only the person who wanted to). Trans rights (a fraction of 1% who took nothing from anybody). And the history books themselves — because the record is what justifies the remedy. They erase the evidence of the wound so the bandage looks like a weapon. And the fair part, because this show runs receipts in every direction: white working-class pain is real — stagnant wages, dead factories, kids who won't do better. Something was taken. But not by a Black family or a trans kid or an immigrant washing dishes. It was taken by the billionaires who shipped the jobs, busted the unions, and bought the politicians — the same con run on poor whites during slavery to prevent common cause with the enslaved. The zero-sum lie is how they aim your real pain at the wrong target. Justice isn't a pie. It's a rising tide. Universal healthcare covers the white coal miner in Kentucky and the Black grandmother in Chicago. When the floor rises, everybody on it goes up. Equality is not oppression. Losing an unearned advantage is not persecution. If the only way you can stand tall is if I stay on my knees — you were never standing. You were leaning. Get up. There's room for all of us, and there always was. No Blue. No Red. No Filter. Just Fire. Think for yourself.
