The city and the Temple are abuzz with energy and much of the todo is centered on this Messianic figure--Jesus of Nazareth. The religious leaders are beyond skeptical and wish to trap Jesus, to turn the crowds against him, to rile people up, but meanwhile, Jesus remains calm, asks folks to use their imaginations and warns them against being swept up in the fervent spirit of the day. Jesus is trying to get folks to see that his way of love and peace are the only way forward...war, violence, vitriol, these are manifestations of evil and this Jesus is here to save us from ourselves.
