Built Different (Nehemiah 1) We Love God
Everybody ends up somewhere. The question we wrestle with is whether we’re getting there on purpose, with a mission, a plan, and the tools to actually build. We start with a simple story about trying to build a house from “just an idea,” then turn it into a clear framework for discipleship: mission, vision, and values that shape daily life, not just Sunday habits. Our mission stays steady: we exist to make disciples, fully devoted followers of Jesus. Our vision is the lifelong journey of knowing God, growing in freedom, and sharing Christ with everyone. Then we dig into the first core value that fuels everything else: loving God. Using Nehemiah as our guide, we talk about what loving God looks like when life is messy and the walls feel broken, including making prayer a priority, learning to talk with God consistently, and choosing simple next steps that actually stick. We also unpack why Bible study matters for spiritual growth and freedom: when we know God’s Word, we know His promises, we find hope, and we learn to recognize what aligns with God versus what subtly twists the truth. Finally, we challenge ourselves to stop compartmentalizing faith and start inviting God into every area of life, because surrender is where transformation happens. If you want a stronger prayer life, a more consistent Bible rhythm, and a clearer path for Christian discipleship, press play.
