Episode #192
Is This What God Wanted?
The Gospel has reached the nations, and the world has responded. Christianity has become the dominant religion in many nations. But has the Christianity we have inherited produced what Jesus intended it to produce? Have you stopped long enough to ask of your faith the same hard questions you demand of everything else in your life? In this session, we begin to ask those questions. We begin with a time of prayer, seeking to connect more deeply with God so that we can see our realities from His vantage point, rather than simply through the lens of what we have inherited, experienced, or come to accept as normal. Afterward, we begin to unpack the realities of what we have inherited and compare them with the original, as established by Jesus Christ, the Lord of the work. What did He intend? What did He establish? And does the Christianity we have inherited still reflect His original design and produce the fruit He intended? The Gospel itself is not being questioned. We are examining what we have inherited, practiced, and come to call Christianity—and having the courage to compare it with the original. This is Part 2
