  99% Of The Things You Worry About Never Come True

  In this episode, I sat down with Mike Fortin, a Hollywood aerial cinematographer, actor, and entrepreneur whose social media stopped me mid scroll. I could not tell you exactly what he did at first, but I knew he had an aura, an "it factor," and I needed to know the story behind it. Mike shared how he landed in Hollywood entirely by accident. A hobby of flying remote controlled helicopters turned into a drone business, and a drone business turned into a phone call. Not long after, he was filming a music video on top of the Capitol Records building, called his wife from the rooftop, and told her they were moving to Los Angeles. Thirty six days later, they were. From there he worked on shows like Bosch, Fear the Walking Dead, and SEAL Team, teaching himself everything along the way. We also talked about what happens when the lights go out. After the 2023 writers strike changed the face of the industry, Mike worked only about 70 days over three years, and he was honest about how heavy that season felt. What pulled him out was unexpected. One cinematic remix, thirty seconds of listening, and a full TV series idea later, he had ten episodes written. Mike also opened up about the regrets from his early days as a business owner, the way his wife stayed by his side through every high and low, and why learning to love himself became the turning point. Now he is rebuilding with a peptide company, a public speaking path, and a production company that teaches business owners to create their own content. His message was simple: your personal brand is your currency, so press record, stop worrying about what people think, and fail forward.
