Incentives such as marriage loans, which were partially forgiven with each child, and the Motherhood Cross, awarded for multiple births, encouraged women to have large families. </p><p>The Nazis promoted the idea that women should focus on Kinder (children), Küche (kitchen), and Kirche (church).
