What is it really like to grow up Mormon and then leave the only world you’ve ever known? Sadie Lane was born and raised in the Mormon Church, where she says religion shaped nearly every part of her life: what she wore, what she ate and drank, what she listened to, how she spent her time, who she dated, her sexuality, and even what her future was supposed to look like. But in her early 20s, Sadie began questioning the beliefs she had been taught since childhood. She ultimately came to view the church as a high control environment and made the incredibly difficult decision to walk away. In this episode of Shut Up!
