Becoming Natalie is a podcast about the sacred in-between the space after your old life ends but before the new one begins. Hosted by Natalie Beard, a cytologist turned soul-led storyteller, this show explores the real, unpolished process of becoming: healing after burnout, rebuilding identity, and reclaiming truth after life unravels. Over the past decade, Natalie has lived many versions of herself leader, traveler, survivor, believer; and each season of her life has prepared her for this moment. Here, she shares that journey with honesty, nervous system wisdom, spiritual grounding, and a willingness to not have all the answers. If you’re navigating a mid-life shift, a quiet awakening, or the slow rebuilding of who you are, this podcast is your invitation to breathe deeper, trust the process, and remember that you are not late, not broken, you are on sacred ground. This isn’t polished. This is arrival. Welcome to Becoming Natalie, the Soul Wealth Rebirth Podcast. Let’s become together.

Episode #136
AI Isn’t the Problem. What We Do With It Matters.
Aug 28, 202620 min
Artificial intelligence can generate words, images, music, ideas, and increasingly sophisticated solutions. But what responsibility comes with using something this powerful? In this episode of Becoming Natalie: The Soul Wealth Rebirth Podcast™, Natalie continues a conversation that began in Issue 122, when she discovered that a song she deeply resonated with had been created using AI. That experience taught her that AI hadn’t created the truth she recognized—her lived experience had allowed her to recognize it. Now the conversation expands. Natalie explores AI as both an extraordinary tool and a technology that deserves serious questions about environmental impact, critical thinking, dependency, creativity, corporate responsibility, and sustainability. Rather than reducing the conversation to whether AI is “good” or “bad,” this episode asks a more useful question: How do we use powerful technology without surrendering the very things that make us human? In this episode: Using AI without outsourcing your own thinking Why lived experience becomes even more valuable in an AI-driven world The environmental footprint of expanding technology Critical thinking, discernment, and technological dependency Why innovation should include sustainability and accountability The responsibilities of users, companies, and larger systems Preserving human voice, judgment, creativity, and wisdom AI may be artificial. Our responsibility isn’t. Read Issue 129 of the Soul Wealth Rebirth Chronicles™ and explore more reflections at www.soulwealthrebirth.com . With grace, Natalie
The Art of Existing: Why Rest Comes Before Revelation
Aug 27, 202616 min
What if you aren't losing your ambition? What if you're simply tired of performing your worth? After unexpectedly discovering the term “female loafism,” Natalie begins questioning why doing absolutely nothing can feel so uncomfortable for women who have spent their lives being capable, productive, responsible, and available. In this episode of Becoming Natalie: The Soul Wealth Rebirth Podcast™, she explores the difference between rest and avoidance, the conditioning that turns productivity into identity, and an uncomfortable truth: sometimes slowing down allows us to hear what constant motion has been hiding. The conversation also examines what happens when we leave systems built around extraction only to recreate those same expectations for ourselves and why entrepreneurship, leadership, and ambition need not require exhaustion. Maybe boredom isn't emptiness. Maybe it's room. And maybe soul wealth includes something we've rarely been taught to value: the freedom to exist without constantly proving that our existence is useful. Companion reading: Soul Wealth Rebirth Chronicles™ Issue 48: “Sacred Loafism: When Rest Becomes Revelation.” In this episode: What “female loafism” means Why rest can trigger guilt Productivity as identity Rest versus avoidance Why stillness sometimes reveals uncomfortable truths The relationship between rest, creativity, and boredom Avoiding hustle culture inside your own business Redefining success around life instead of output Reflection question: What would success look like if my life, not my productivity, were at the center of it? What if you’re not as confused as you think you are? What if your own clarity has simply been buried beneath the volume of your thoughts? In this episode of Becoming Natalie: The Soul Wealth Rebirth Podcast™, Natalie reflects on what happened when her usually active mind became quiet enough for her to notice something surprising: she didn’t suddenly receive more answers. She simply had enough space to recognize what she already knew. This episode explores the difference between productive thinking and mental noise, the pressure to solve questions that cannot yet be answered, and why mastering your own thinking may have less to do with controlling your mind and more to do with knowing when you’ve thought enough. Because sometimes clarity isn’t something you need to chase. Sometimes it’s what remains when the chasing stops. In this episode: The difference between thinking and mental noise How urgency can distort clarity Discernment versus overthinking Learning to tolerate “I don’t know yet” Why a powerful mind also needs space Knowing when it’s time to stop searching for another answer Read Issue 128 of the Soul Wealth Rebirth Chronicles™ and explore more reflections at www.soulwealthrebirth.com . What changes when you stop asking other people to determine your value? Maybe more than we realize. Self-worth isn't simply saying, "I know my worth." It's what happens afterward. It's the relationships you no longer chase, the environments you stop shrinking inside, the opportunities you allow yourself to pursue, the boundaries you maintain, and even the things you finally permit yourself to receive. In this episode of Becoming Natalie: The Soul Wealth Rebirth Podcast™, I explore the difference between knowing intellectually that you're worthy and actually building a life from that belief. Because self-worth doesn't require perfection. It doesn't require external validation. And it certainly doesn't require someone else to recognize your value before you're allowed to recognize it yourself. The real transformation begins when worth stops being something you prove and becomes something you embody. Listen now and subscribe: soulwealthrebirth.com
When Your Life No Longer Feels Like It Belongs to You
Aug 24, 202619 min
What happens when you’ve emotionally left a chapter of your life but you’re still physically living inside it? In this episode of Becoming Natalie: The Soul Wealth Rebirth Podcast™, Natalie explores the strange space between internal completion and external change. Sometimes nothing dramatic happens. The job, place, relationship, routine, or identity that once fit you simply doesn’t anymore. And when the next chapter hasn’t revealed itself yet, boredom, restlessness, and uncertainty can make you question whether anything is actually changing. This reflection explores what happens when your identity evolves before your circumstances do, why boredom can sometimes be information, and why you don’t have to manufacture movement simply because the space between chapters feels uncomfortable. Sometimes your external life is simply catching up with who you’ve already become. In this episode: Recognizing when a chapter has ended internally Why boredom and restlessness can signal completion The difference between movement and aligned movement Why curiosity can be more useful than certainty Allowing your external life time to catch up with your internal transformation Read Issue 127 of the Soul Wealth Rebirth Chronicles™ and explore more reflections at www.soulwealthrebirth.com .
