The ’60s and ’70s album rock moved the nation during the early rock n roll times, the British Invasion, Viet Nam, The Cold War, The Iron Curtain. DC5, Buddy Holly, Beatles, Cream, Zeppelin, Janis, songwriters like Elton and Bernie, John and Paul, Simon and Garfunkel....the list goes on. It rocked through the life and times of the world and it made us feel and helped us numb out. Fifty years later, the albums remain, a little scratched, some stained or even broken, but the music lives on. I try to present a brief history, a wayback machine if you will, into the artists, writers, lyrics and nostalgia of those wonderful days of free love, exploring the mind and smelling, eating, seeing, tasting and touching, indelibly burning memories for future enjoyment. It’s about the music and the era of album oriented rock. These are some of the Tales Vinyl Tells.

Episode 76: From Jan 7, 2023: Christine McVie Salute

Episode 76: From Jan 7, 2023: Christine McVie Salute September 28, 2026 Looks like we made it to a new year. I was beginning to wonder. Last year had some good, some sad but the best thing is that is ended. I had a Covid Christmas, lost a couple really good people, like my 30 year old niece, my 62 year old friend, had a melanoma on my head and it was just a weird year. I did though get my chance to bring Tales Vinyl Tells to RadioFreeNashville and the world. Now a chance to regain momentum. Here we have a salute to Christine McVie and her time in public performance. She had a distinctive voice, you could probably tell the songs she penned and she brought life to the rock world. She is missed. One tune she did in her time with Chicken Shack in 1968 is here and I think you’ll recognize it. All in all, here’s some great music to kick the year off with. My goal is to explore the vinyl LPs of the 60s & 70s, with some exceptions, and provide some backstories and liner notes of some of the best album rock of the ages. Since December 2019, there now over 200 hour-long episodes to enjoy with minimal repeats. Oh sure, there are some and that's because those are some great ones. Thanks for listening today. Episode 65 Great Guitarists You Don't Hear Much & #6 Best-Selling LP
Sep 21, 202658 min
Episode 65 Great Guitarists You Don't Hear Much & #6 Best-Selling LP Progressive rock radio stations of the 60s, especially, exposed many great and long-lasting tunes and LPs that would endure more than a half century. I try to play as many as come from my personal collection and memory, and there are many that seem to fly under the radar because they don’t have commercial appeal but a curious music lover wants to hear the wide range of acoustic players and singers you just don’t hear these days. This episode I wanted to highlight some of those, like: Leo Kottke, John Fahey, Tommy Emmanuel and you’ll also hear Arlo, Graham Nash and quite a few more. Twelve spins today. Episode 212 Sometimes We All Feel Like An Alien, Like We Don't Belong. September 14, 2026 This was episode 64 from about this time in 2022. It took some editing to prepare it for radio re-broadcast on stations around the country. They allow about 58 minutes. Hope you enjoy this one! We start today with one of the greatest guitarists of our time who had an early death by wheels, a multi-award winning female Canadian artist who sold over 100 million albums that we haven’t played but once before here, Phoenix and more. As fall comes to us, I’m so glad. Maybe the heat will now only come from the smoking’ LP cuts from the 60s and 70s I play. Of course, if you need heat in your house by all means turn it on. You can listen live at 5 central time around Nashville at 103.7 and 107.1 FM, you can tell Alexa, "Alexa, play radio free Nashville" after teaching her the radio free Nashville online skill, and you can stream it live at RadioFreeNashville.org . You can hear the replays of all the Tales Vinyl Tells podcasts at StudioMillsWellness.com when you click on the Tales Vinyl Tells podcast tab. Episode 63: From 4 Years Ago. Sept 18, 2022. Chris Hillman, Journey, Zeppelin, Jesse Colin Young(Bloods) September 6, 2026 The ‘60s and ‘70s brought some happy/sad/high/low/up/down/sweet/sour/yin/yang things. We were evolving as a country, coming out of post-WWII and Korean War times and heading into wars, the age of Aquarius and of the computer. For me, the music drove me. The Summer of Love in San Francisco and The Summer of Soul in NYC changed everything in our culture. The music of that time is what I try to capture in this fast-moving hour of album-oriented-rock (AOR). It started with Robert Johnson and Jimmie Rodgers. Episode 9: Number 9! Featuring Nina Simone, John Martyn, Doors, Peter Green
Aug 17, 20261h 9m
Number 9, number 9. Yes, it’s our ninth episode of Tales Vinyl Tells, from 2020, Covid time and an election year. I’m Brian and I’ll be sharing some more LP cuts from the 60s & 70s today and will grab a few from elsewhere, so buckle up . Today we have Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Joni Mitchell, Jim Morrison and The Doors, Bob Dylan and many more songs that you might remember or might not. My album collection’s history was told in previous episode. You might want to listen to all of the previous podcasts if you want the truth. Thanks to my longtime friend, David D, these 50+ year old LPs have been saved. Some are pristine, some are scratchy, but all are signs of those times. Enjoy as we hear today’s Tales Vinyl Tells. If you have a concern about deliverability, AI quality, data privacy, or whether this will actually work for your specific situation, it's probably answered below.
What is the difference between Founder Solo and Founder Pro?
Founder Solo gives you 50 AI pitches per month using the credit model (Standard pitches cost 1 credit, Enriched pitches cost 2). Founder Pro raises that to 200 credits per month and adds full Booking Probability access, unlimited Magic Match, Apollo enrichment credits, and data export capabilities. Both plans use the same credit system, so you can stretch your monthly budget further by using Standard-mode drafting.
How do agency tiers work?
Agency tiers have no base fee. You pay per managed client and per talent profile. Agency Standard is $199 per client per month; Agency Pro is $399 per client per month. Both add $39 per talent profile per month. Your own team's user seats are always free.
What is a talent profile?
A talent profile represents one person (founder, executive, or spokesperson) you are booking onto podcasts. It includes their bio, topics, headshots, and outreach history. Team plans include 5 profiles; agency plans are pay-as-you-go.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes, at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period. Contact support if you need help migrating between plan families.
Do you offer a free trial?
Every paid plan includes a 15-day free trial. Your card is saved at signup but you will not be charged until day 16. Cancel any time from your dashboard.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep access until the end of your current billing period. No charges after that. Your data is retained for 30 days in case you reactivate.
Is the 20% annual discount automatic?
Yes. Select Annual on the pricing toggle and the discounted price is applied automatically at checkout. The annual price shown is the full year cost.
What if I have more than 50 profiles or 20 clients?
That is our Enterprise tier. Contact our sales team and we will build a custom plan with volume pricing, a dedicated account manager, and SLA guarantees.
