Episode #4
38. Healing Communication with Coach Drew
I had the chance to sit down with Dr. Andrew Blackwood, "Coach Drew," the Healing Communication Coach, for an honest conversation about fatherhood, burnout, faith, and healing in relationships. We dig into emotional language, the difference between coping and thriving, and the five values Coach Drew says every genuine apology, plus why forgiveness and reconciliation aren't the same thing. Dr. Andrew L. Blackwood is a trusted speaker, counsellor, and coach with over 20 years of experience as a faith-centred mental health professional. With a deep understanding of anxiety and trauma from both personal experience and professional practice, he has worked extensively with teens and parents across the Greater Toronto Area and beyond, serving as a psychotherapist, family clinician, and marriage and family therapist. He holds a Master of Divinity in Counseling from Tyndale Seminary and a Doctorate of Ministry in Marriage and Family from the Palmer School of Theology. A sought-after guest speaker, Coach Drew has appeared on outlets including 100 Huntley Street , 700 Club Canada , and The Perspective with Mike Sherbino . He's the author of The Art of a Genuine Apology and founder of CoachDrew.ca , a faith-based hub for families. Don't forget to hit that share button, leave your comments, and join the discussion!
