  Today's hike is located at Caperton Swamp aka Old Gregg's Lair. I always like to come here to reflect on life whenever things get very heavy, as they have been for the past week. Luckily over the years I've learned to navigate rough seas and this section of my life will play out as it does; just as every other section has. I wish the best for my friend, psychosis is no joke and it can take a long time to come back from. I have experienced it myself when I lived in an unhealthy and misaligned way, and I stillave detrimental effects from it 12 years down the line. I am grateful for nature being a grounding environment to think in, and there was also a cool wildlife sighting!   This week has been a bit of a rough one, I had to help a good friend of mine through a psychotic break with reality after a relapse and now my brain feels burnt out. These types of situations reactivate some of the more severe PTSD responses that I normally can ground myself from but haven't been able to do as successfully this past week. But thankfully I have the group ride and the ability to go for hikes still, and that does help me cope with extremely stressful situations in a healthy way.   This week Sheba and I hiked the Jim King trail! She's been loving the relatively cooler weather recently and has been acting extra hyped to be outside! She's also been trying to eat groundscores and I have to be extra attentive so she doesn't eat anything that could be bad for her. I also reflect on the past weekend's 40 mile bike ride with the group that I've been riding with the past few weeks! It's great to have a like minded community for biking, I've spent most of my life on the bike by myself! It's a good change of pace! Support the show
