Lucas and Luna run the numbers on running a marketing agency that doesn't just survive but commands premium fees. Each episode examines a single operational lever — pricing methodology, client churn rate benchmarks, talent retention costs, or the economics of retainer vs. project billing — using real agency financials and named case studies (DDB's pivot to performance models, Ogilvy's proprietary creative scoring system, The Hoth's scalable fulfillment). Lucas, a former agency strategist for independent shops, interrogates the math behind the P&L; Luna, a client-side marketer turned fractional CMO, pushes back with the buyer's perspective: what actually justifies a $50k monthly retainer? Together they decode why agencies with average growth rates of 12% still fail at 18 months, how to structure a creative department so you're not selling hours, and why the biggest agencies are quietly buying media placements at scale. Why Your Agency’s Best Work Is Invisible
Sep 29, 20268 minS4
Most agencies sell visibility — logos, posts, and campaigns that demand attention. But the most profitable service models today are invisible: infrastructure, automation, and operational fixes that keep a client’s business running smoothly without ever appearing in a press release. We examine how shifting from creative deliverables to backend efficiency changes your pricing power, reduces churn, and makes your agency indispensable rather than optional. Using specific examples of workflow optimization and internal tooling, we break down why clients pay more for work they never see. #AgencyStrategy #InvisibleValue #ClientRetention #ServiceDesign #OperationalEfficiency #PricingPower #B2BServices #WorkflowAutomation #AgencyGrowth #ConsultativeSelling #BackendOptimization #MarketingOperations #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #LucasAndLuna #AgencyOwners #ScaleSmart #HighTicketServices Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
In this episode, Lucas and Luna dissect the silent killer of agency growth: client onboarding friction. They analyze how a specific $200 million acquisition by a major media holding company exposed critical gaps in handoff processes. Using data from recent industry reports, they break down why the first ninety days determine long-term retention more than creative output ever will. Most agencies trade time for money, capping their growth at the number of billable hours they can sell. But what if the real leverage isn't in selling more hours, but in owning the recurring revenue stream that keeps clients coming back? In this episode, we break down how top-performing agencies are shifting from project-based work to productized service models. We look at a specific case study of a mid-sized marketing firm that doubled its valuation by turning client campaigns into subscription-like retainers with clear scope and predictable outcomes. Lucas and Luna explore the mechanics of this transition: how to price for value, not volume, and why productizing your services actually reduces churn by setting clearer expectations. If you run a service business, this is the playbook for building predictable cash flow. #AgencyGrowth #ProductizedServices #RecurringRevenue #MarketingStrategy #BusinessModel #ServiceBusiness #ClientRetention #PricingStrategy #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #LucasAndLuna #ScaleUp #CashFlow #ValueBasedPricing #AgencyOwner #SaaSforAgencies #OperationalEfficiency #CustomerLifetime Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
Why Agency Scope Creep Is Actually A Profit Engine
Sep 26, 202610 minS4
Most agency owners treat scope creep as a leak in the boat, a sign of poor boundary management that erodes margins. But what if reframing unapproved additional work not as a failure but as an untapped revenue stream could fundamentally change how you price and deliver? This episode dissects the hidden economics of out-of-scope requests, using real-world examples from digital marketing firms to show why saying yes without a line item is leaving money on the table. We explore the psychology behind client expansion demands and provide a concrete framework for turning every unexpected ask into a profitable new service tier. #AgencyGrowth #ScopeCreep #ClientRetention #ServiceBusiness #MarketingStrategy #PricingModels #ProfitMargins #ConsultingTips #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #RevenueOptimization #ClientRelationships #DigitalMarketing #AgencyLife #ValueBasedPricing #BusinessEconomics #LucasAndLuna #Entrepreneurship Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
In this episode, Lucas and Luna dissect the structural failure of the billable hours model for marketing agencies. They argue that tying revenue to time spent creates perverse incentives where inefficiency is rewarded and client trust is eroded by scope creep. Using a specific case study of a mid-sized digital agency that shifted to value-based pricing, they explore how decoupling fees from minutes worked forces agencies to invest in automation and strategic clarity. The conversation covers the psychological shift required for both owners and clients, the importance of defining success metrics upfront, and why the most profitable agencies are those that solve problems rather than log hours. #AgencyPricing #ValueBasedPricing #BillableHours #MarketingStrategy #ClientRetention #ProfitMargins #ServiceBusiness #AgencyGrowth #ScopeCreep #RevenueModels #Consulting #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #LucasAndLuna #MarketingEconomics #AgencyOwner #OperationalEfficiency #ClientRelationships Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo

If you have a concern about deliverability, AI quality, data privacy, or whether this will actually work for your specific situation, it's probably answered below.
What is the difference between Founder Solo and Founder Pro?
Founder Solo gives you 50 AI pitches per month using the credit model (Standard pitches cost 1 credit, Enriched pitches cost 2). Founder Pro raises that to 200 credits per month and adds full Booking Probability access, unlimited Magic Match, Apollo enrichment credits, and data export capabilities. Both plans use the same credit system, so you can stretch your monthly budget further by using Standard-mode drafting.
How do agency tiers work?
Agency tiers have no base fee. You pay per managed client and per talent profile. Agency Standard is $199 per client per month; Agency Pro is $399 per client per month. Both add $39 per talent profile per month. Your own team's user seats are always free.
What is a talent profile?
A talent profile represents one person (founder, executive, or spokesperson) you are booking onto podcasts. It includes their bio, topics, headshots, and outreach history. Team plans include 5 profiles; agency plans are pay-as-you-go.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes, at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period. Contact support if you need help migrating between plan families.
Do you offer a free trial?
Every paid plan includes a 15-day free trial. Your card is saved at signup but you will not be charged until day 16. Cancel any time from your dashboard.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep access until the end of your current billing period. No charges after that. Your data is retained for 30 days in case you reactivate.
Is the 20% annual discount automatic?
Yes. Select Annual on the pricing toggle and the discounted price is applied automatically at checkout. The annual price shown is the full year cost.
What if I have more than 50 profiles or 20 clients?
That is our Enterprise tier. Contact our sales team and we will build a custom plan with volume pricing, a dedicated account manager, and SLA guarantees.
