Episode #82
Money Mindset and Values with Emeri Johnson
In this episode, I’m joined by financial planner Emeri Johnson for a conversation about something we all interact with every day: money. We’re diving into the connection between your values, money mindset, and the way you spend, save, and earn, and how all of those things can shape your life. We start with your values: What actually matters most to you? How do you figure that out for yourself? And how can knowing your values change the way you choose to use your money? We also talk about the money stories we pick up from our parents, families, and the people around us—and how those beliefs can influence our financial decisions long after we’ve grown up. Together, we explore how to recognize the beliefs you’ve inherited, question the ones that no longer serve you, and intentionally create a healthier relationship with money. Emeri and I also share some of our own values and perspectives around money, talk through real-life financial situations, and challenge some of the common ways we’re taught to think about spending and saving. One of my favorite parts of this conversation was exploring some less-common beliefs about money, ideas that can help you spend with less stress, create more abundance, and ultimately use your money in a way that actually supports your goals, dreams, and vision for your life. This isn’t about finding the “right” way to spend your money. It’s about understanding your values, cleaning up the money beliefs that may be holding you back, and creating a financial life that feels aligned with the life you actually want to live. THANK YOU Emeri for this fun conversation!
