Stories as Medicine- Seeds of adversity blooming into Purpose with Siah Stevens
In this episode of Stories as Medicine, Ashleie sits down with her longtime friend Siah for a powerful conversation about resilience, healing, and purpose. Siah shares her journey from Liberia to the United States, reflecting on the trauma, homelessness, and cultural challenges that shaped her path. Together, they explore how adversity can become fertile ground for purpose, leading Siah to create Victors in Christ, an organization dedicated to empowering children in Liberia through education, counseling, and community support. This intimate dialogue weaves together themes of spiritual timing, personal healing, and the courage required to transform pain into meaningful action for the next generation. Siah Stevens is the founder of Victors In Christ, a nonprofit dedicated to restoring hope and strengthening families through faith, compassion, and community support. Born and raised in Monrovia, Liberia, she immigrated to the United States at the age of fifteen and has since devoted her life to serving others, supporting and healing communities, advocating for social justice, and working to build a more inclusive world. She is a woman of faith, a mother, and a leader who is passionate about empowering people to heal from the roots of their pain so they can grow into the vines of their strength and purpose.
