B3 XTRA: Creeque Aley- The Song That Told The Whole Story
Before the Mamas & the Papas became one of the defining groups of the 1960s, they were struggling musicians bouncing between bands, relationships and dreams that had not quite come true. In this special B3 bonus episode from Fair Shake w/ Brian Emmons, Bryno takes a closer look at “Creeque Alley,” the unusual song that tells the true story of how the Mamas & the Papas came together. From the Mugwumps and the folk clubs of Greenwich Village to California and the birth of the group’s signature sound, nearly every name and reference in the song has a story behind it. The B3 Podcast is written and produced by Nathanyel Byler, Mike DeCoursey, Brent Dalrymple, Todd Lancaster and Brian Emmons.
