Episode #33
Hot vs. Cold States
Jul 28, 202620 minS1
Why does eating healthy seem so much harder when you're hungry at Costco? Why do your gym plans go out the window the moment you sit down on the couch? This week, we’re exploring the concepts of hot and cold states, highlighting that the version of you making plans isn’t always the same as the one executing them. We’ll discuss how emotions, stress, hunger, and fatigue can impact our decision-making, and we’ll debunk the myth of “willpower.” When hunger strikes, it’s important to have simple systems in place to help bridge the gap between rational intentions and realistic behavior. We’re here to guide you on that journey. AI has quickly become a powerful tool for productivity, efficiency, and generating emails we’re too burnt out to write, but what happens when we start relying on it too much? This week, we’re examining the hidden cost of AI and why cognitive offloading can lead to cognitive surrender and reduce long-term memory retention. This is a doom-and-gloom outlook on AI, however. Throughout the episode, we discuss the many ways AI can be used as an enhancement tool rather than a replacement, and how you can stay aware of its dangers and ahead of the game. Ever feel like you don't have enough? Whether it's time, money, sleep, or even attention, the feeling of scarcity is enough to send your brain into overdrive. This week, we're exploring the psychology of scarcity and why having too little narrows our focus, drains our mental bandwidth, and makes it harder to make good decisions. We also share practical strategies for building more margin into your life so scarcity doesn't stay in the driver's seat—you do. Chapter Markers: [0:00] The psychology of scarcity [3:17] Tunnel vision: Why our brains fixate on what's missing [6:22] Understanding the "bandwidth tax" [9:22] Building buffers to protect your mental bandwidth [11:19] Key takeaways: Creating more margin in your life

Ever feel like, over time, you’re more distracted, less focused, and oddly dissatisfied, even when things are going well? This week, we’re exploring the idea of “brain rot” and the toll a culture of constant consumption can take on our attention, motivation, and sense of meaning. We dig into why this happens and introduce a simple shift that can change the dynamic: creating more than you consume. You don’t need to be “good” at creating for this to matter; anything that sparks your creativity, like cooking, journaling, sketching, or building, engages your brain differently. Instead of chasing reward...

Ever pick up your phone to check the time…then 30 minutes later you’re doomscrolling on Twitter? We’re unpacking the science behind our addiction to our phones - everything from binge-watching to bad attention spans, to help you reclaim your brain and break the cycle. Tech companies know what they’re doing by tapping into human psychology to keep you hooked on their platforms, but there is hope. By adding friction, redesigning your environment, and making attention intentional, you can make looking at your phone a choice, rather than a habit.

Chapter Markers:

[0:00] Are You Real...
Every question we get asked before someone starts their trial.
If you have a concern about deliverability, AI quality, data privacy, or whether this will actually work for your specific situation, it's probably answered below.
What is the difference between Founder Solo and Founder Pro?
Founder Solo gives you 50 AI pitches per month using the credit model (Standard pitches cost 1 credit, Enriched pitches cost 2). Founder Pro raises that to 200 credits per month and adds full Booking Probability access, unlimited Magic Match, Apollo enrichment credits, and data export capabilities. Both plans use the same credit system, so you can stretch your monthly budget further by using Standard-mode drafting.
How do agency tiers work?
Agency tiers have no base fee. You pay per managed client and per talent profile. Agency Standard is $199 per client per month; Agency Pro is $399 per client per month. Both add $39 per talent profile per month. Your own team's user seats are always free.
What is a talent profile?
A talent profile represents one person (founder, executive, or spokesperson) you are booking onto podcasts. It includes their bio, topics, headshots, and outreach history. Team plans include 5 profiles; agency plans are pay-as-you-go.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes, at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period. Contact support if you need help migrating between plan families.
Do you offer a free trial?
Every paid plan includes a 15-day free trial. Your card is saved at signup but you will not be charged until day 16. Cancel any time from your dashboard.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep access until the end of your current billing period. No charges after that. Your data is retained for 30 days in case you reactivate.
Is the 20% annual discount automatic?
Yes. Select Annual on the pricing toggle and the discounted price is applied automatically at checkout. The annual price shown is the full year cost.
What if I have more than 50 profiles or 20 clients?
That is our Enterprise tier. Contact our sales team and we will build a custom plan with volume pricing, a dedicated account manager, and SLA guarantees.
