In The Branding Podcast, Lucas and Luna deconstruct how modern companies build visual identity systems that work across packaging, digital, and physical spaces. They examine typography choices, color psychology, and sonic branding through real-world cases like the evolution of the Mailchimp wordmark, the rebrand of Slack's palette, and the 'less is more' approach of startups like Allbirds. Lucas brings a journalist's rigor to dissecting brand guidelines, while Luna sketches out alternative design directions on her tracing paper, arguing for coherence over trend-chasing. Each episode focuses on a specific identity challenge—how a D2C brand finds its 'voice' on TikTok, why a B2B SaaS company might abandon its abstract logo for a logotype, or what happens when a heritage brand modernizes without alienating loyal customers.
