Meet The Chatty Vets — Charlotte & Brendan — two UK small-animal vets navigating the wild, wonderful, and occasionally ridiculous world of veterinary practice. Expect monthly news, clinical cases, odd consult moments, and the kind of humour only someone who’s survived a chaotic consult room can appreciate. We give you REAL confessions from the Clinic Floor: Practical, relatable, and CPD-APPROVED. We release three episodes a month: two fortnightly updates on what’s happening across UK vet med, plus a bonus episode that might be a clinical deep-dive, a research paper chat, or an excuse to talk to interesting people who also chose this brilliant, baffling profession. If you work in vet med and want learning, honesty, and a few laughs to get you through the shift, you’ll feel right at home.

The Chatty Vets Podcast
Episode 26 - Bonus Episode! The Dreaded Heatstroke and SIRS
Aug 15, 20261h 17m
What would you do? Tell us Heatstroke. SIRS. Two words that can make even experienced vets feel uneasy. In this bonus episode of the Chatty Vets Podcast, we take a proper deep dive into the challenging world of heatstroke and Systemic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (SIRS) — from what’s actually happening inside these patients to how we can realistically manage them when they arrive in practice critically unwell. These cases can deteriorate incredibly quickly, become extremely complex and, sadly, often carry a very poor prognosis. We explore the pathophysiology behind heatstroke and SIRS, the complications that can develop, what we should be monitoring, and the practical considerations around stabilisation and ongoing treatment. But this isn't just an ECC-level discussion. As always, we try to take the complicated physiology and bring it back to everyday general practice . What can you realistically do when a severe heatstroke patient walks through the door? What should you prioritise? What should you monitor? And how can understanding what's happening physiologically help you make better decisions when things start going wrong? We cover the science, the practical management and the difficult realities of treating some of the sickest patients we see. Whether you work in GP, emergency or referral practice, this episode aims to leave you feeling a little more prepared for the next heatstroke or SIRS patient that comes through the door. ️ Grab a coffee, get comfortable, and join us for a deep dive into one of veterinary medicine's most challenging emergencies. Loved this episode and want to hear more about ECC cases? Or still confused and wanting a bit more help with these tricky emergency cases? Come along to our new ECC CPD events ! The first session is being held entirely ONLINE on Thursday 24th September 2026, and we'll be covering how to manage DYSPNOEIC CATS in GP practice . Episode 25 - Two Week Takedown. Chronic Enteropathies and GIQuest, clients getting Kennel Cough and promising new medications for CKD and CHF
Aug 8, 20261h 10m
What would you do? Tell us ️ Episode 25: Two Week Takedown! This episode is proudly sponsored by Carus Animal Health We’re back with another Two Week Takedown – aka, what’s happened in vet med over the last fortnight that’s made us stop and go “oooh… we need to talk about that.” This week, we’re getting properly stuck into GIQuest and faecal calprotectin testing . What is it? When might we actually use it? And could it make navigating those “the diarrhoea is back…” cases a little less painful? Elsewhere in the episode: CKD cats & chronic anaemia – there are new treatment options on the horizon, so naturally we have questions. ❤️ CHF in dogs – could another new medication be joining our cardiac toolkit? Kennel cough… but in humans?! When a client asks, “Can I catch this?” what do we actually tell them? As always, expect clinical chat, questionable tangents, things we’ve learnt over the last two weeks and probably a few opinions nobody asked for. A huge thank you to Carus Animal Health for sponsoring this episode and supporting The Chatty Vets Podcast. Interested in listening back to one of our CPD events? Every question we get asked before someone starts their trial.
If you have a concern about deliverability, AI quality, data privacy, or whether this will actually work for your specific situation, it's probably answered below.
What is the difference between Founder Solo and Founder Pro?
Founder Solo gives you 50 AI pitches per month using the credit model (Standard pitches cost 1 credit, Enriched pitches cost 2). Founder Pro raises that to 200 credits per month and adds full Booking Probability access, unlimited Magic Match, Apollo enrichment credits, and data export capabilities. Both plans use the same credit system, so you can stretch your monthly budget further by using Standard-mode drafting.
How do agency tiers work?
Agency tiers have no base fee. You pay per managed client and per talent profile. Agency Standard is $199 per client per month; Agency Pro is $399 per client per month. Both add $39 per talent profile per month. Your own team's user seats are always free.
What is a talent profile?
A talent profile represents one person (founder, executive, or spokesperson) you are booking onto podcasts. It includes their bio, topics, headshots, and outreach history. Team plans include 5 profiles; agency plans are pay-as-you-go.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes, at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period. Contact support if you need help migrating between plan families.
Do you offer a free trial?
Every paid plan includes a 15-day free trial. Your card is saved at signup but you will not be charged until day 16. Cancel any time from your dashboard.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep access until the end of your current billing period. No charges after that. Your data is retained for 30 days in case you reactivate.
Is the 20% annual discount automatic?
Yes. Select Annual on the pricing toggle and the discounted price is applied automatically at checkout. The annual price shown is the full year cost.
What if I have more than 50 profiles or 20 clients?
That is our Enterprise tier. Contact our sales team and we will build a custom plan with volume pricing, a dedicated account manager, and SLA guarantees.
