Jesus Walked To The Cross For Us
As I’m talking today, it is Christmas Eve 2020. Many of my family member and friends are out and about buying last minute presents, traveling, and spending time with the ones they love. This is a joyous time for many people, even in the worst of times. 2020 has been a very rough year for many people but we still find joy in the little things of life. I hope that many of us have found new joy and new peace in time spent in quiet reflection, solitude, and time, a lot of time, spent with loved ones. As a Christian, I have peace and joy regardless of my situation. I am not saying that I always embrace that peace and joy, but it is always there for me whenever I remember to turn back to Jesus. While this year has been a strange one for me and I could not have predicted many of the paths I have walked this year; it has been a very good year for me. I would expect that it has been a very good year for many Christians who place their hope, joy, peace, and source in God through Jesus. By source I mean our material goods and day to day source of provision. As we reflect back on 2020, on Jesus, His birthday and what He has done for us; I ask that you also reflect back on Jesus and what He went through for us. *** John 1:1-14 - King James Version 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. 6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. ******* Galatians 4:4-5 - King James Version 4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, 5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. === This podcast is a sister podcast to The Christ Quarter podcast : https://christquarter.buzzsprout.com Please join my team in spreading The Word around the whole world by donating via CashApp at $TheChristQuarter .
