The Copper Crossroads
Let Him Who Boasts, Boast in the Lord
Why does Scripture leave no room for human boasting in salvation? In this sermon from Copper Cove Chapel, we examine 1 Corinthians 1:31 and the biblical truth that neither Jew nor Gentile can be justified by works of the law or by human effort. We trace the purpose of the Mosaic Law, the promise given to Abraham, and the unfolding plan of redemption through Scripture. From the temporary coverings of the Old Covenant to the finished work of Christ at the cross, the message is consistent: salvation belongs to the Lord. Eternal redemption is found in Jesus Christ alone—by grace, through faith, apart from human boasting.
