Lucas and Luna examine the developer tools landscape — APIs, infrastructure, and software designed for engineers — through the lens of business viability and technical merit. Each episode picks a specific tool or platform: how it was built, what problem it solves, who pays for it, and whether its architecture gives it a durable advantage. They compare pricing models, study public SDKs and changelogs, and trace the decisions that turn an open-source side project into a billion-dollar company. No demos, no tutorials — just two co-hosts reading documentation, running benchmarks, and asking whether a tool's design actually makes engineers more productive or just more dependent. Past topics: the economics of API gateways, why gRPC is replacing REST in microservices, the rise of WebAssembly beyond the browser, and the hidden costs of managed Kubernetes. Listeners walk away with a concrete framework for evaluating developer tools — not as a user, but as a buyer, builder, or investor. What doe

The Silent Cost of API Integration Debt
Oct 6, 202611 minS5
Most engineering teams treat integration as a one-time build, but we explore how integration debt becomes the silent killer of SaaS margins. We break down why companies like Stripe and Twilio profit from recurring developer friction, using specific examples of webhook retry logic and error handling costs. This episode reveals how to audit your own integration stack for hidden technical liabilities that bleed engineering hours and customer churn. #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #APIEconomics #IntegrationDebt #SaaSMargins #DeveloperExperience #WebhookArchitecture #EngineeringCosts #TechStrategy #CloudInfrastructure #SoftwareEngineering #ProductLedGrowth #DevOps #TechnicalDebt #B2BSaaS #APIDesign #CustomerChurn #EngineeringLeadership Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
We explore the operational debt that comes with excessive API fragmentation. Using a specific look at how major platforms like Shopify and Twilio manage their developer ecosystems, we break down why simpler interfaces often drive higher adoption than feature-rich but complex ones. The conversation dives into the economics of abstraction layers, the cost of maintaining backward compatibility, and how engineering teams can balance innovation with stability. We also examine the recent shifts in cloud infrastructure pricing models as they relate to API call volumes. #APIEconomics #MicroservicesArchitecture #DeveloperExperience #CloudInfrastructure #ShopifyPlatform #TwilioAPI #OperationalDebt #SoftwareEngineering #TechBusinessStrategy #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #LucasAndLuna #SaaSGrowth #DevOpsTrends #PlatformStrategy #TechnicalDebt #DigitalTransformation #EnterpriseSoftware Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
How Developer Contracts Are Rewriting Tech Economics
Oct 4, 202614 minS5
In this episode of The Developer Tools Podcast, Lucas and Luna dissect how the shift from perpetual licenses to consumption-based contracts is fundamentally altering software economics. Using the specific example of a major enterprise database vendor's transition in late 2025, they explore why engineers are resisting metered usage models despite their lower upfront costs. The conversation covers the hidden friction in API telemetry, the rise of internal chargeback systems, and why developer trust is now the primary currency in B2B software sales. #DeveloperTools #SaaSEconomics #ConsumptionBasedPricing #APIMonitoring #EnterpriseSoftware #TechContracts #EngineeringLeadership #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #CloudComputing #DevEx #SoftwareSales #TechStrategy #InfrastructureCosts #APIDesign #DeveloperExperience #B2BPricing #TechEconomics Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
We look at how infrastructure platforms like Datadog and Twilio turned developer adoption into a durable moat. The shift from tooling to platform creates network effects that traditional enterprise software missed for decades. We break down the specific mechanics of why engineering teams become the sales force, using concrete examples from observability and communications APIs. How GitHub Copilot Is Reshaping Software Economics
Oct 2, 202611 minS5
We look past the hype to examine how AI pair programming is fundamentally altering software economics. By analyzing specific data from major tech firms, we explore how developer velocity metrics have shifted and what that means for engineering budgets in Q4 of 2026. This episode breaks down the real ROI of generative AI tools, moving beyond simple lines-of-code counts to measure actual output quality, maintenance costs, and the changing value proposition of senior engineers versus junior talent. #GitHubCopilot #SoftwareEconomics #DeveloperProductivity #AIinEngineering #TechLeadership #EngineeringROI #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #CodeGeneration #TechInvestment #SoftwareDevelopment #DigitalTransformation #EngineeringStrategy #TechTrends2026 #LaborMarket #EnterpriseTech #DevOps #FutureOfWork Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo

Every question we get asked before someone starts their trial.
If you have a concern about deliverability, AI quality, data privacy, or whether this will actually work for your specific situation, it's probably answered below.
What is the difference between Founder Solo and Founder Pro?
Founder Solo gives you 50 AI pitches per month using the credit model (Standard pitches cost 1 credit, Enriched pitches cost 2). Founder Pro raises that to 200 credits per month and adds full Booking Probability access, unlimited Magic Match, Apollo enrichment credits, and data export capabilities. Both plans use the same credit system, so you can stretch your monthly budget further by using Standard-mode drafting.
How do agency tiers work?
Agency tiers have no base fee. You pay per managed client and per talent profile. Agency Standard is $199 per client per month; Agency Pro is $399 per client per month. Both add $39 per talent profile per month. Your own team's user seats are always free.
What is a talent profile?
A talent profile represents one person (founder, executive, or spokesperson) you are booking onto podcasts. It includes their bio, topics, headshots, and outreach history. Team plans include 5 profiles; agency plans are pay-as-you-go.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes, at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period. Contact support if you need help migrating between plan families.
Do you offer a free trial?
Every paid plan includes a 15-day free trial. Your card is saved at signup but you will not be charged until day 16. Cancel any time from your dashboard.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep access until the end of your current billing period. No charges after that. Your data is retained for 30 days in case you reactivate.
Is the 20% annual discount automatic?
Yes. Select Annual on the pricing toggle and the discounted price is applied automatically at checkout. The annual price shown is the full year cost.
What if I have more than 50 profiles or 20 clients?
That is our Enterprise tier. Contact our sales team and we will build a custom plan with volume pricing, a dedicated account manager, and SLA guarantees.
