The DTC Marketing Podcast with Fexingo is the daily show where Lucas and Luna cut through the noise of direct-to-consumer brand strategy, Shopify optimization, and e-commerce growth — without the hype. Each episode examines a specific DTC brand's recent performance: customer acquisition costs, retention mechanics, unit economics, and the tactical decisions behind their marketing spend. Lucas, a former journalist covering retail tech, pushes for the numbers behind the narrative; Luna, a seasoned e-commerce operator, challenges assumptions with on-the-ground realities from brands like Allbirds, Glossier, and Warby Parker. Together, they dissect A/B tests that worked (and those that didn't), zero in on CAC payback periods, and debate the viability of TikTok shop vs. email flows for repeat purchase. This show is for founders, marketing leads, and growth operators who want to move beyond surface-level 'tips' and understand the actual P&L math of DTC. Expect no celebrity interviews, no 'secr

How DTC Brands Use Data Clean Rooms to Cut Ad Costs
Aug 17, 20269 minS4
In this episode of The DTC Marketing Podcast, Lucas and Luna explore how direct-to-consumer brands are using data clean rooms to break free from platform lock-in and slash wasted ad spend. Focusing on a hypothetical mid-sized skincare brand, they walk through how clean rooms let brands match first-party customer data with platform ad exposure data without exposing raw PII, enabling smarter lookalike audiences, better frequency capping, and more accurate incrementality testing. They discuss the practical steps to get started, the common mistakes, and why this marks a shift toward brands owning their own measurement. If you're tired of guessing which ads actually drive sales, this episode offers a clear, actionable framework. #DataCleanRooms #DTCBrands #AdSpendOptimization #MarketingAnalytics #CustomerData #FirstPartyData #IncrementalityTesting #LookalikeAudiences #FrequencyCapping #PrivacyFirst #MarketingPodcast #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #DTC #ECommerce #DigitalMarketing #SignalLoss #Measurement Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
In this episode of The DTC Marketing Podcast, Lucas and Luna dig into a strategy that looks like a cost but often behaves like a bargain: influencer gifting. They walk through how a small skincare brand used a targeted gifting campaign to cut customer acquisition costs by 31 percent in one quarter, then break down the mechanics—why micro-influencers outperform mega-celebs for niche products, how to structure a gifting program so it doesn't become a freebie black hole, and the difference between sending product and building a genuine relationship. They also talk about the role of unboxing moments, the power of user-generated content, and how to track real return on investment beyond vanity metrics. If you're a founder or marketer tired of paying more for ads every month, this episode gives you a concrete alternative to test. Plus, they reflect on why some brands kill their gifting programs after a few months and how to avoid that trap. Expect specific numbers, practical tips, and a few honest takes on what doesn't work. #InfluencerGifting #DTCBrands #CustomerAcquisitionCost #MicroInfluencers #SkincareMarketing #EcommerceGrowth #MarketingStrategy #ROITracking #UserGeneratedContent #UnboxingExperience #InfluencerMarketing #BrandAwareness #SocialProof #CostPerAcquisition #PerformanceMarketing #BusinessPodcast #MarketingPodcast #FexingoBusiness Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
Why DTC Brands Are Killing Their Referral Programs
Aug 14, 20268 minS4
In this episode of The DTC Marketing Podcast, Lucas and Luna tackle a counterintuitive trend for direct-to-consumer brands in 2026: the quiet death of the classic referral program. After years of 'give $20, get $20' mechanics, brands like Glossier and Allbirds are pulling back on blanket referral incentives, and here's why. Lucas breaks down the math of referral fatigue — how over-rewarding the referrer trains existing customers to wait for discounts, and how the referred friend often converts at a lower lifetime value. The conversation drills into the 'advocate economy' shift: instead of cash rewards, brands are using status, early access, and community recognition to turn their happiest customers into organic evangelists. Luna brings data on the 'referral cliff' — the drop-off in share rates after the first month — and shares a clever fix from a skincare brand that made referrals a one-time, high-touch moment. The episode ends with a practical framework: when to keep a cash referral program, when to kill it, and how to measure advocacy beyond the promo code. If you've ever wondered why your referral link feels like spam, this one's for you. #ReferralPrograms #DTCBrands #CustomerAcquisition #AdvocacyMarketing #LoyaltyStrategy #EcommerceGrowth #MarketingTrends #CustomerLifetimeValue #ReferralFatigue #WordOfMouth #CommunityMarketing #BrandLoyalty #SkincareBrands #Glossier #Allbirds #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #Marketing Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo

Aug 13, 202610 minS4
In this episode of The DTC Marketing Podcast, Lucas and Luna explore how direct-to-consumer brands are leveraging user-generated content (UGC) to slash customer acquisition costs and build authentic connections. They dive into the strategy behind GoPro's iconic customer-highlight reels, analyze how skincare startup Glossier built a billion-dollar empire on customer reviews, and break down the psychology of why UGC outperforms polished brand ads. Lucas shares a concrete framework for sourcing, curating, and legally licensing UGC, while Luna brings up the risks of fake reviews and the importance of transparency. What is the difference between Founder Solo and Founder Pro?
Founder Solo gives you 50 AI pitches per month using the credit model (Standard pitches cost 1 credit, Enriched pitches cost 2). Founder Pro raises that to 200 credits per month and adds full Booking Probability access, unlimited Magic Match, Apollo enrichment credits, and data export capabilities. Both plans use the same credit system, so you can stretch your monthly budget further by using Standard-mode drafting.
How do agency tiers work?
Agency tiers have no base fee. You pay per managed client and per talent profile. Agency Standard is $199 per client per month; Agency Pro is $399 per client per month. Both add $39 per talent profile per month. Your own team's user seats are always free.
What is a talent profile?
A talent profile represents one person (founder, executive, or spokesperson) you are booking onto podcasts. It includes their bio, topics, headshots, and outreach history. Team plans include 5 profiles; agency plans are pay-as-you-go.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes, at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period. Contact support if you need help migrating between plan families.
Do you offer a free trial?
Every paid plan includes a 15-day free trial. Your card is saved at signup but you will not be charged until day 16. Cancel any time from your dashboard.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep access until the end of your current billing period. No charges after that. Your data is retained for 30 days in case you reactivate.

Yes. Select Annual on the pricing toggle and the discounted price is applied automatically at checkout. The annual price shown is the full year cost.
What if I have more than 50 profiles or 20 clients?
That is our Enterprise tier. Contact our sales team and we will build a custom plan with volume pricing, a dedicated account manager, and SLA guarantees.
