Robert the Doll — The Curse Is Still Active
<p>In 1904, a young boy in Key West, Florida received a doll. A sailor doll, about the size of a child, stuffed with straw, with button eyes and a blank expression. The boy named it after himself. He took it everywhere. He talked to it constantly. And his parents, listening from outside his bedroom door at night, heard two voices answering back. Robert the Doll is now on display at the Fort East Martello Museum in Key West. Visitors who photograph it without asking permission first report that things go wrong afterward. Their cars break down. Their relationships fall apart...
