S3 Ep2 The Darkside To Success | ft. Vance Barse
Aug 31, 202648 minS3
Send us Fan Mail What happens when success on the outside doesn't match what's happening underneath? Jamar Jones sits down with wealth management expert and entrepreneur Vance Barse for an unexpectedly personal conversation about money, sobriety, childhood trauma, fatherhood, entrepreneurship, and the hidden pressure behind success. Vance shares how growing up with financial insecurity and never meeting his biological father shaped his drive to overachieve — and how a decade of partying eventually led him to make the life-changing decision to get sober. He also takes Jamar inside a side of entrepreneurship few people openly discuss: successful business owners who appear to have everything while privately facing financial pressure, maxed-out credit, and uncertainty about making payroll. As Vance puts it, people see the tip of the iceberg — but the struggle is real. The conversation becomes even more personal as Vance shares the story of receiving his late biological father's Harley, riding it across the country, finding forgiveness, building his firm, and ultimately realizing that his greatest accomplishment isn't financial at all — it's becoming the father he never had. Send us Fan Mail What happens when a bold vision becomes one of the biggest and most expensive lessons of your entrepreneurial journey? In the Season 3 premiere of The Foureva Podcast, Jamar Jones shares the story behind renting out the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee for a massive event. From the outside, it looked like a huge success. Behind the scenes, there were unexpected fees, missing sponsorship dollars, intense pressure, and a significant financial loss. Jamar gets honest about what went wrong, why his vision may have been too big for that moment, and the leadership lesson he learned about listening to his team. You’ll also hear his take on: • 100K followers versus 100 paying clients • Perfect strategy versus fast execution • One flagship offer versus multiple revenue streams • How he would use $10,000 and 90 days to start a business from scratch • Why you cannot wear every hat when executing a major vision It was expensive. It was chaotic. But they pulled it off, and no one can take that away from them. Want to be featured on The Foureva Podcast? Visit fourevamedia.com/podcast.
