The discipline of worship
Worship can and should be done both privately and corporately, when you are alone and when you are gathered with other believers. Worship does not need to happen in a particular place. You can worship at church, at home, in your car driving to work, on a walk in your neighborhood, anywhere. Worship comes from a heart of gratitude for all God has done, awe of who God is, and humility knowing he has called us to be his children despite our sin. Worship is based on the truth of God and his word. Worship can include singing praises to God, reading a Psalm of praise to him from the Bible, or just simply speaking words of praise, thanksgiving, and adoration to our God. Worship can include a physical posture such as kneeling or raising hands, but not as an outward display of spirituality. Any such display should come from a sincere heart of worship. Worship can look different to different people in their own contexts, but the scriptures are clear that God wants his children to worship him.
