Sonny joins us to talk about his journey growing up around hockey in Edmonton, his experiences as a Punjabi player, and how those experiences helped shape the work he does today. We dive into the creation and growth of the Punjabi Elite League , the importance of ball hockey as an entry point for South Asian families, representation throughout hockey, youth development, community building, and what it truly means to grow the game . Sonny also reflects on his work with the Brick Invitational , the evolution of South Asians in Canadian hockey, and the legacy he hopes to leave behind.
