006: Your Vision Lives In Your Body
Aug 18, 202617 min
You can think your way to total clarity about what you want, and still not be able to live your way there. In this episode, we talk about why almost everything you've been taught about calling in your vision was taught from the wrong organ, and what actually has to happen in your body before a new vision can take root. What you'll learn: Why the heart's electromagnetic field matters to your vision work as much as your mindset does (yes, there's real research behind this) What negativity bias is, and why your body can mistake something good and new for a threat Why "high vibes only" actively works against you, and what emotional suppression research says about the cost of pushing feelings down A story about two deer, a nervous system, and the discharge-and-return cycle most of us never learned Why you have to practice feeling what you want before it arrives, or you won't recognize it when it does Resources mentioned: The Vision Keeper — free at isabellebridges.com/vision-keeper The Sistering - IsabelleBridges.com/The-Sistering The Alchemy of Becoming retreat - P.S. If you haven't listened to Episode 1 yet, start there. This episode builds directly on it. 005: The Father Wound and The Vision You Haven’t Let Yourself Want
Aug 11, 202624 min
If you've ever set a beautiful vision for your life, gotten lit up about it, and then quietly let it die a few weeks later — and called that a discipline problem — this episode is for you. We're talking about why the way you move (or don't move) toward what you want has almost nothing to do with willpower, and everything to do with your relationship to your father, the masculine, and the culture you were raised inside of. What you'll learn: Why asking "but HOW would I ever do that" before you've taken a single step is actually a fixed mindset — and what a growth mindset asks instead What the father wound really is, and why almost everyone raised in this culture carries some version of it A personal story about early motherhood, misplaced anger at her husband, and the moment Isabelle realized mom guilt was hiding underneath it How patriarchy lives inside us, not just around us — and what that has to do with your right to want things The real definition of alchemy, and how it applies to transmuting your own history into your becoming Resources mentioned: The Vision Keeper — free at isabellebridges.com/vision-keeper The Sistering - Isabellebridges.com/the-sistering The Alchemy of Becoming retreat - https://isabellebridges.thrivecart.com/alchemy-of-becoming/ P.S. — If you haven't grabbed The Vision Keeper yet, it's a wonderful place to start getting honest with yourself about what you actually want. Grab it free at isabellebridges.com/vision-keeper. LASTLY: Join The Sistering before September 10th and you'll also be invited to our in-person retreat, The Alchemy of Becoming, September 19th in Santa Barbara. Isabellebridges.com/the-sistering
004: 13 Questions That Led Me to Where I am Today: 45 years old!
Aug 4, 202618 min
This episode is different from a normal one. There's no guest today. No teaching, really. Just questions, the kind that don't want a quick answer, they want you to sit with them. I read Stephen Cope's book, The Great Work of Your Life, on a recent road trip, and it cracked something open in me. So, I built this episode as a guided reflection, walking through that same territory using the six BRIDGEs pillars I use in my own work, because our purpose doesn't show up in the abstract. In this episode: A guided, paced reflection with room to actually sit in silence between questions, not rush past it Questions on belonging, identity, and the difference between what you're good at and what you're for The personal story of how this exact process led me to build The Sistering A first look at what's coming in August: a full deep dive into The Great Work of Your Life, together, inside The Sistering This one works best with a journal nearby, but it also works if you're just driving, walking, or lying on your floor doing nothing, which might honestly be the best way to do it. If something moves in you while you listen, that's not nothing. That's the beginning of the same walk.
Some of the deepest wounds leave no visible marks. In this episode of The Isabelle Bridges Show, I'm sitting down with Melissa Rymer — narcissistic abuse survivor turned advocate, certified recovery coach, and certified divorce coach — for a conversation that is honest, brave, and deeply necessary. Melissa spent years inside a relationship that looked perfect from the outside. No bruises. No police calls. Just a slow, methodical erosion of her confidence, her connections, and herself. It wasn't until the situation turned dangerous that she was finally able to name what was happening and begin to find her way out. What she built from those ashes is nothing short of remarkable. In this episode, we talk about: What trauma bonds actually are and why they're so hard to break The love-bombing cycle and how it keeps you hooked even when everything hurts Why narcissistic abuse is often invisible and why that makes it so hard to leave The red flags Melissa now teaches her clients to recognize early What to do (and what NOT to do) if someone you love is in an abusive relationship The friend who never gave up on her and what that kind of sistering really looks like Melissa's private app, free quiz, and community resources for women who are ready for one small step This episode is for you if you've ever felt like something was deeply wrong but couldn't put your finger on it. It's for the woman who thought she was too sensitive, too jealous, too much ... only to realize those labels were never hers to carry. You are not the problem. And you are not alone. 002: Emotional Metabolism: Why You Can't Think Your Way Out of a Feeling
Jul 21, 202616 min
You can understand exactly why you're upset, trace it back, name it, even have compassion for it, and still feel stuck in it. In this solo episode, Isabelle explores the difference between understanding a feeling and actually metabolizing it. Drawing on the concept of emotional metabolism, she walks through why insight alone was never the whole job, what it looks like when a feeling gets stuck instead of moving through the body, and how her own Validate-Differentiate practice helps a feeling finish what it came to do. You'll learn: Why emotional metabolism is a body process, not a mental one The two-step Validate-Differentiate practice, and how to use it in real time A simple somatic check-in you can use the next time a feeling rises Why feeling something fully isn't a setback in your healing, it's the healing This episode is for you if you've ever done all the inner work, understood the pattern completely, and still felt just as stuck as before. Agency tiers have no base fee. You pay per managed client and per talent profile. Agency Standard is $199 per client per month; Agency Pro is $399 per client per month. Both add $39 per talent profile per month. Your own team's user seats are always free.
What is a talent profile?
A talent profile represents one person (founder, executive, or spokesperson) you are booking onto podcasts. It includes their bio, topics, headshots, and outreach history. Team plans include 5 profiles; agency plans are pay-as-you-go.
