Episode #16
51. Stop Feeling Guilty for Being Happy
Aug 19, 202617 minS3
Have you ever felt guilty for something good happening in your life, simply because someone you love didn't get the same experience? In this episode, Laura explores a pattern so many high-achieving women carry without realizing it: the belief that their own joy somehow costs someone else. Through a deeply personal story, Laura unpacks the difference between empathy and taking on responsibility for someone else's pain, and why so many women unconsciously shrink their own happiness out of a misplaced sense of loyalty. The episode closes with a guided visualization to help you release guilt that was never yours to carry, plus a simple practice to start feeling your good moments fully, without apology. If you've ever minimized your own success, hidden your excitement, or felt like your happiness comes at someone else's expense, this episode is for you. In this episode: · Why guilt shows up even when you've done nothing wrong · The difference between empathy and taking responsibility for others' feelings · A guided visualization to release guilt you've been carrying for someone else · A simple weekly practice to start fully feeling your joy Connect with me: ✨ Schedule a free 1:1 coaching discovery call: Click Here to Schedule ✨ Join my newsletter for weekly encouragement, podcast updates, and inspiration: Sign Up Here If this episode resonated with you, please share it with a woman you love and leave a rating or review. If you’re a mom who has ever felt guilty for wanting something more, this episode is for you. Maybe you’ve wanted to start a business, pursue a passion, take better care of yourself, or simply make more space for the things that light you up. But every time you do, that familiar mom guilt creeps in. I know that feeling well. In this episode, I’m sharing my own journey of learning to pursue my dreams while raising my children, and why I no longer believe that choosing yourself means choosing your family less. We’ll talk about: Why pursuing your dreams can feel selfish as a mom The difference between giving your family all of your time and actually being fully present Why guilt doesn’t necessarily mean you’re doing something wrong What your children learn when they watch you pursue something meaningful Why your dreams still matter after becoming a mother How to move forward even when guilt comes along for the ride And I share a very personal moment with my daughter that reminded me why I keep choosing courage and continuing to go after the life I want. Because your dreams mattered before you became a mom. They still matter now. If you know there’s a dream you’re ready to pursue but you keep getting stuck in your own way, this is the work I do with women through 1:1 coaching. Together, we’ll reconnect you with what you really want, uncover what’s holding you back, and help you start creating a life that actually feels like yours. ✨ Schedule a free 1:1 coaching discovery call: Click Here to Schedule If this episode resonated with you, I'd love for you to share it with a friend or leave a review. Why Achieving Your Goals Doesn't Make You Feel Worthy (And What Does)
Aug 5, 202619 minS3
Feelings aren't just what we run from — they're also what we're chasing, often without even realizing it. In this episode, I share the story of graduating with my doctorate degree after eight years of work, and feeling completely empty the moment I crossed that stage. I thought worthiness was waiting for me on the other side of that accomplishment. It wasn't. And it took me years to understand that I hadn't just been chasing a degree — I had been using it as a distraction from the real, inner work I needed to do. In this episode, we cover: Why we often use external accomplishments to avoid the deeper question of "why don't I already feel worthy?" The pattern of "when I get X, I'll finally feel worthy" — and why that feeling never actually arrives A guided visualization to help you identify what feeling you're really chasing underneath your current goals Why it's okay to have goals — and how everything shifts when a goal becomes a want instead of a need This week's homework: Pick one goal you're currently chasing. Write it down. Then ask yourself two questions — what feeling am I actually trying to create by achieving this, and am I chasing this because I truly want it, or because it keeps me busy so I don't have to go within? Sit with whatever comes up. Awareness is the first step. If this episode hit something in you, I'd love to talk with you. You're Not Afraid of the Action. You're Afraid of the Feeling.
Jul 28, 202621 minS3
Last week, we talked about taking the action that scares you. But after that episode, Laura realized something deeper: it's rarely the action itself that holds us back – it's the feeling we're afraid that action will create. In this episode, Laura breaks down why your brain treats emotional discomfort like physical danger (yes, even your body's stress response gets involved), and shares two personal stories – one from a middle school stage and one from a conversation she avoided for over a year — to show what happens when you finally let yourself feel the thing you've been running from. In this episode: Why your brain can't tell the difference between emotional risk and physical danger The real reason we avoid hard conversations, big asks, and scary first steps A guided visualization to help you identify the feeling underneath your fear This week's homework: stop asking "what's my next action?" and start asking "what feeling am I actually avoiding?" Feeling unmotivated, uninspired, or stuck? In this episode, I'm sharing the one shift that has helped me move myself forward faster than anything else: taking the action that scares me most. I'll walk you through two personal stories - the time I went live on Instagram for the first time (and it was a total disaster), and a moment with my own coach that pushed me to have a conversation I'd been avoiding for over a year. Both taught me the same lesson: confidence isn't built when everything goes well. It's built when everything goes wrong and you're still standing. You'll also get a guided visualization to help you identify your own next scary step, plus homework to take this week to move yourself out of "stuck" and into action. In this episode: Why the fear is never really about the action itself What happened when I went live on Instagram for the first time (it did not go well) The moment my coach asked me, "What if you do it tomorrow?" A guided visualization to find your next brave step Your homework for the week ahead Ready to take action? What is the difference between Founder Solo and Founder Pro?
Founder Solo gives you 50 AI pitches per month using the credit model (Standard pitches cost 1 credit, Enriched pitches cost 2). Founder Pro raises that to 200 credits per month and adds full Booking Probability access, unlimited Magic Match, Apollo enrichment credits, and data export capabilities. Both plans use the same credit system, so you can stretch your monthly budget further by using Standard-mode drafting.
How do agency tiers work?
Agency tiers have no base fee. You pay per managed client and per talent profile. Agency Standard is $199 per client per month; Agency Pro is $399 per client per month. Both add $39 per talent profile per month. Your own team's user seats are always free.
What is a talent profile?
A talent profile represents one person (founder, executive, or spokesperson) you are booking onto podcasts. It includes their bio, topics, headshots, and outreach history. Team plans include 5 profiles; agency plans are pay-as-you-go.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes, at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period. Contact support if you need help migrating between plan families.
Do you offer a free trial?
Every paid plan includes a 15-day free trial. Your card is saved at signup but you will not be charged until day 16. Cancel any time from your dashboard.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep access until the end of your current billing period. No charges after that. Your data is retained for 30 days in case you reactivate.
Is the 20% annual discount automatic?
Yes. Select Annual on the pricing toggle and the discounted price is applied automatically at checkout. The annual price shown is the full year cost.
What if I have more than 50 profiles or 20 clients?
That is our Enterprise tier. Contact our sales team and we will build a custom plan with volume pricing, a dedicated account manager, and SLA guarantees.
