Lucas and Luna explore the craft of people management in a series of focused conversations grounded in real-world cases and data. Each episode tackles a specific management challenge—hiring for culture fit vs. skill, conducting effective performance reviews, navigating team conflict, delegating without losing control, or building psychological safety in hybrid teams. Lucas brings the research (Gallup engagement data, Google's Project Aristotle, HBR case studies) and Luna pushes back with frontline practice from her own experience managing teams of ten to fifty. They avoid platitudes; instead, they walk through concrete scenarios like how to tell a high performer they're not getting promoted, how to run a retrospective that doesn't devolve into blame, and how to set boundaries with a CEO who keeps bypassing the chain of command. The show serves mid-level managers who have six to twenty direct reports and want to get better at the human side of leadership—not the theory, but the messy, d

How Managers Kill Innovation With Good Intentions
Oct 4, 202612 minS5
Most managers believe they are protecting their teams by removing friction, but this episode argues that over-protection is actually suffocating innovation. We look at the specific case of a mid-sized logistics firm that tried to eliminate all process errors for its warehouse staff, only to watch creative problem-solving vanish entirely. Lucas and Luna break down why psychological safety requires calculated risk-taking, not just error elimination. Using data from recent organizational behavior studies and a concrete example of how one company’s 'zero-defect' policy led to stagnation, we explore the difference between operational efficiency and adaptive creativity. This is not about letting mistakes happen; it is about understanding when to intervene and when to step back. If you have ever felt your team waiting for permission to try something new, this conversation explains why that silence is happening and how to fix it without reverting to micromanagement. #PeopleManagement #TeamBuilding #LeadershipSkills #InnovationStrategy #PsychologicalSafety #ManagerialDilemma #OrganizationalBehavior #RiskTolerance #EmployeeAutonomy #OperationalEfficiency #CreativeProblemSolving #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #WorkplaceCulture #MiddleManagement #DecisionMaking #ProcessImprovement #LeadershipDevelopment Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
Most leadership training focuses on how managers lead teams, but almost nothing covers how senior leaders lead those managers. This episode examines the specific friction point where middle managers get squeezed between executive strategy and frontline execution. We look at why well-intentioned oversight often destroys psychological safety, using concrete examples from recent organizational shifts in late 2026. You will learn the difference between supportive alignment and destructive interference, and how to measure managerial effectiveness without adding bureaucratic weight. If you are a director or VP trying to scale your culture, this is the missing piece of the puzzle. #MiddleManagement #LeadershipDevelopment #ManagerialEffectiveness #OrganizationalPsychology #CorporateCulture #ExecutiveStrategy #TeamBuilding #BusinessPodcast #FexingoBusiness #PeopleManagement #WorkplaceWellbeing #LeadershipSkills #ManagementTheory #HRStrategy #OrganizationalDesign #EmployeeEngagement #DecisionMaking #FexingoNetwork Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
Most managers treat team conflict as noise to be silenced, but effective leaders use it as data. In this episode, we examine how top-tier managers reframe interpersonal friction into strategic alignment using the 'conflict-to-clarity' framework. We look at a specific case from a mid-sized software firm that reduced project delays by thirty percent not by smoothing over disagreements, but by structuring them. Lucas and Luna break down why avoiding tension creates hidden technical debt in teams, and offer three concrete scripts for turning heated debates into productive decisions without burning out your best talent. #TeamConflict #LeadershipSkills #ManagerialStrategy #BusinessCommunication #ConflictResolution #TeamBuilding #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #OrganizationalCulture #ManagementTips #WorkplacePsychology #DecisionMaking #HighPerformingTeams #SoftSkills #CorporateLeadership #EmployeeRetention #ManagerHour #ProfessionalDevelopment Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
Most managers treat feedback as a transactional event, but the real problem is how it lands in daily behavior. We look at why standard coaching frameworks fail and introduce the concept of behavioral anchoring from organizational psychology research. You will learn one specific question to ask after giving critical feedback that increases follow-through by reducing defensiveness. This episode focuses on closing the gap between what is said in a review and what happens on Tuesday morning. #ManagerialFeedback #BehavioralAnchoring #TeamPerformance #LeadershipSkills #CoachingTechniques #OrganizationalPsychology #EmployeeDevelopment #ManagementStrategy #WorkplaceCulture #CommunicationSkills #PerformanceManagement #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #HumanResources #ConflictResolution #LeadershipDevelopment #TeamBuilding #ManagerialGrowth Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
The Manager's Hour The Art of Strategic Incompetence
Sep 30, 202611 minS5
Most managers believe their value comes from being the person who solves every problem. This episode argues the opposite, exploring how skilled delegation and even strategic incompetence can actually accelerate team growth. We look at why taking on too much work creates a bottleneck, stunts junior employee development, and leads to manager burnout. Lucas and Luna discuss the difference between helpful support and enabling dependency, using concrete examples from project management and daily operations. Discover how to say no without saying you won't help, and how to build a team that thrives when you step back rather than stepping in. #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #PeopleManagement #LeadershipSkills #TeamBuilding #Delegation #ManagerialBurnout #EmployeeDevelopment #StrategicIncompetence #WorkplaceCulture #HighPerformingTeams #MicroManagement #CareerGrowth #OrganizationalBehavior #ManagementTips #BusinessStrategy #CorporateLife #LeadershipDevelopment Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo

How do agency tiers work?
Agency tiers have no base fee. You pay per managed client and per talent profile. Agency Standard is $199 per client per month; Agency Pro is $399 per client per month. Both add $39 per talent profile per month. Your own team's user seats are always free.
