The mobile app economy is a multi-trillion-dollar market, yet most apps fail within 30 days. Lucas and Luna dissect the strategies behind the hits and the graveyard of misses. They explore iOS vs. Android monetization models, from subscription fatigue to the rise of super apps in Asia. They analyze the economics of user acquisition, the psychology of retention, and the pivot of legacy companies like Microsoft into mobile-first design. Each episode takes a specific app category — health, gaming, fintech — and a specific company inside it: how did Strava build a social moat? Why did Snapchat survive while others faded? What does the EU's Digital Markets Act mean for indie developers? Lucas brings data on install-to-pay conversion rates and ad revenue benchmarks; Luna challenges assumptions about UX and market timing. They talk about the craft of the product, the business of the store, and the tension between growth and profitability. This is not a 'how to code your app' show. It is for p

How App Stores Monetize User Attention
Sep 29, 20269 minS5
We examine the hidden economics of attention in mobile ecosystems, focusing on how Apple and Google extract value from user engagement metrics. Using data from the mid-2020s ad market, we break down the real cost per install versus lifetime value. Lucas and Luna discuss the shift from direct monetization to attention arbitrage, revealing why your screen time is the actual product. #MobileEconomics #AttentionMarket #AppStoreAlgorithms #DigitalAdvertising #UserEngagement #PlatformMonopolies #ScreenTimeValue #AdTechIndustry #iOSDevelopment #AndroidEcosystem #ConsumerBehavior #DataPrivacy #TechBusinessModels #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #LucasAndLuna #AppDeveloperTips #MarketingStrategy Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
We examine the hidden economics behind Apple Intelligence and how on-device AI is reshaping mobile app development. We explore how modern app companies use deep-linking and universal links to create seamless cross-platform experiences that bypass the traditional app store funnel. By examining a specific case study of a leading fintech platform, we break down how routing traffic directly to in-app content increases conversion rates by over twenty percent compared to standard web redirects. This strategy relies heavily on metadata schemas and backend infrastructure rather than flashy UI changes. We discuss the technical trade-offs between Android and iOS implementation, the role of server-side configuration in maintaining user context, and why this invisible architecture is becoming the primary battleground for customer acquisition costs in the current quarter. #AppGrowth #DeepLinking #MobileEconomics #UserAcquisition #CrossPlatform #FintechStrategy #iOSAndroid #ConversionOptimization #TechInfrastructure #CustomerRetention #DigitalProduct #AppStoreEconomics #WebToApp #MarketingTechnology #BusinessStrategy #ConsumerApps #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
We examine how Apple and Google are shifting from one-time payments to recurring subscription models using rollover pricing mechanics. Lucas breaks down the behavioral economics behind why users stay subscribed when they can pause rather than cancel, citing specific retention data from major lifestyle apps. Luna explores the technical implementation of these billing cycles and asks whether this model creates genuine value or just friction-free lock-in. We look at real-world examples from fitness and productivity sectors, comparing churn rates before and after implementing flexible billing options. This episode reveals how small changes in payment architecture can dramatically impact long-term customer lifetime value without increasing prices. #AppStoreEconomics #SubscriptionRetention #RolloverPricing #iOSDevelopment #AndroidBilling #BehavioralEconomics #CustomerLifetimeValue #SaaSEconomics #MobileMonetization #AppleRevenueModels #GooglePlayPolicies #ChurnReduction #ConsumerPsychology #DigitalProducts #AppBusinessStrategy #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #TechIndustryTrends Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
We examine why the freemium model is collapsing under subscription fatigue, using a specific look at how Apple and Google are adjusting their revenue splits in late 2026. Lucas breaks down the math behind churn rates for utility apps, while Luna challenges whether consumers will ever return to one-time purchases. We explore the pivot toward usage-based pricing and what it means for indie developers who can no longer rely on recurring monthly fees. #MobileApps #SubscriptionFatigue #AppEconomics #AppleRevenue #GooglePlay #FreemiumModel #ChurnRates #IndieDevelopers #PricingStrategy #ConsumerBehavior #TechBusiness #DigitalProducts #UserRetention #Monetization #AppStorePolicy #SaaSModels #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
Every question we get asked before someone starts their trial.
If you have a concern about deliverability, AI quality, data privacy, or whether this will actually work for your specific situation, it's probably answered below.
What is the difference between Founder Solo and Founder Pro?
Founder Solo gives you 50 AI pitches per month using the credit model (Standard pitches cost 1 credit, Enriched pitches cost 2). Founder Pro raises that to 200 credits per month and adds full Booking Probability access, unlimited Magic Match, Apollo enrichment credits, and data export capabilities. Both plans use the same credit system, so you can stretch your monthly budget further by using Standard-mode drafting.
How do agency tiers work?
Agency tiers have no base fee. You pay per managed client and per talent profile. Agency Standard is $199 per client per month; Agency Pro is $399 per client per month. Both add $39 per talent profile per month. Your own team's user seats are always free.
What is a talent profile?
A talent profile represents one person (founder, executive, or spokesperson) you are booking onto podcasts. It includes their bio, topics, headshots, and outreach history. Team plans include 5 profiles; agency plans are pay-as-you-go.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes, at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period. Contact support if you need help migrating between plan families.
Do you offer a free trial?
Every paid plan includes a 15-day free trial. Your card is saved at signup but you will not be charged until day 16. Cancel any time from your dashboard.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep access until the end of your current billing period. No charges after that. Your data is retained for 30 days in case you reactivate.
Is the 20% annual discount automatic?
Yes. Select Annual on the pricing toggle and the discounted price is applied automatically at checkout. The annual price shown is the full year cost.
What if I have more than 50 profiles or 20 clients?
That is our Enterprise tier. Contact our sales team and we will build a custom plan with volume pricing, a dedicated account manager, and SLA guarantees.
