Ken Jeong, Dr. Robert J. McCunney, Jodi Corbett, and Cheryl LovellThis edition of The Neil Haley Show opens with actor and comedian Ken Jeong, who called this the greatest year of his career as his ABC series Dr. Ken wrapped its final episode. Jeong, known to fans from Community and The Hangover, described the joy of building a family comedy rooted in his own life as a doctor and father of twin daughters, and of bringing back friends and comedy heroes like his Community co-stars and Jeffrey Ross as guests. He highlighted a favorite Ken-and-Molly episode in which his character takes his daughter, played by Krista Marie Yu, and her friends to an Emblem3 concert to reconnect with a girl he feels slipping away, alongside a subplot involving Pat and Damona, played by Dave Foley and Tisha Campbell-Martin. Jeong and Neil traded thoughts on how fathers instinctively struggle to relate to daughters and the male urge to fix everything, and Jeong noted that unlike his self-aware real self, his character Ken Park has no self-awareness at all, which is where the comedy lives.Neil then welcomed Harvard physician and author Dr. Robert J. McCunney to discuss his medical thriller The Aging Code. McCunney explained that he builds his novels around topics he wants to learn more about, in this case the science of aging, gene therapy and CRISPR, and the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, weaving them through a health journalist, a United Nations clinic physician, and a Russian emigre genetic scientist. He walked Neil through genuinely striking research: medications like rapamycin extending the lifespan of lab mice by thirty to fifty percent, the rare genetic condition progeria that accelerates aging through a single DNA mutation, and gene-therapy work involving the protein klotho. He drew a careful distinction between life expectancy, a statistical average, and lifespan, which he said is now truly increasing for the first time since Roman times, and cautioned about the real dangers of unproven biohacking, since a drug that suppresses the immune system carries serious risk without careful dosing and long-term study. Citing Harvard geneticist David Sinclair's view that aging itself might be treated as a disease, McCunney, who is seventy-eight and still sees patients, offered his own credo: take risks, don't chase money, and love what you do.The program continues with a Jesus and Ugly Jodi simulcast featuring Jodi Corbett, who introduced Five Stones Ministry, a new church based in Longboat Key, Florida, with a global online presence holding its very first service. Corbett explained the name from David choosing five smooth stones to face Goliath, and described a church built to complement rather than replace people's local Sunday congregations. Its flagship effort is a Widows' Fund, guided by 1 Timothy 5, to help pastors' and missionaries' widows with mortgages and other financial burdens while affirming their ongoing value and gifts. He also outlined Peacemaker Security, drawn from his years in law enforcement and the FBI, which aims to reduce violence and eliminate homicides by hiring people from within troubled communities, along with planned ministries in pastoral care and orphan support. The show closes with a Storehouse Media Group simulcast featuring Cheryl Lovell, founder of CLC Group. A Navy veteran of the Gulf War who pivoted from nursing into healthcare administration, Lovell built and sold her own home health, hospice, and palliative care companies before moving into consulting. She works across the post-acute space, helping organizations from startups to a hundred-and-fifty-million-dollar operations diagnose whether their real need is operational reorganization, growth, marketing, or acquisition. Lovell spoke candidly about the sector's heavy regulatory complexity, especially in home health, the challenge of business-to-business relationship marketing, and the risk-averseness good operators must balance against the boldness the business demands.
