Episode 25 - When Our Children Are Grown
What do we hope our children say about us when they’re older? One day, our kids will be grown. They’ll have their own lives, their own families, and their own memories of what it was like to grow up in our home. In this episode of *The Photo Album*, we sit down and ask ourselves a question that can be both encouraging and uncomfortable: **What do we hope our children say about us when they look back on their childhood?** We talk about the things we hope they remember—the laughter, the love, the traditions, the conversations, the moments we were present—and the kind of parents we hope we became. But we also talk about what we *don’t* want them to say. We don't want them to remember us as parents who were always stressed, angry, distracted, too busy, or more concerned with everything around us than the little people right in front of us. None of us are going to parent perfectly. We’re going to lose our patience, make mistakes, and have days where we fall short. But we have the opportunity every day to build the kind of home and family our children will remember. Because someday, the childhood we're creating right now will become “their story to tell.” ❤️ ️ **New episode this Saturday at 6PM EST.** Come listen, reflect with us, and maybe ask yourself: “What do I hope my kids say about me someday?”
