What helps people move beyond pain and limitation, build resilience, and keep doing the things that give life meaning? The Power of Doing What Matters is hosted by Dr. Clayton Skaggs, founder and CEO of the Central Institute for Human Performance and author of the book that inspired the show. For more than three decades, Dr. Skaggs and his team have worked at the intersection of persistent pain, rehabilitation, movement, and human performance. His career has included years of study with pioneering Czech neurologists Vladimir Janda and Karel Lewit, service on postdoctoral and research faculties at eight universities, published clinical research, and work with people ranging from those facing unresolved pain to elite athletes, military professionals, and executives. Dr. Skaggs and his team have found that the best stories and learning come from the patients and clients. Each episode will combine stories from and about real-life experiences with clients, practitioners, athletes, researchers and others. Episodes combine practical knowledge, lived experience, and a CIHP Insight—a short reading that opens a larger conversation about the mind, body, and the choices that shape our capacity. Reading, contemplation and learning. The conversations are educational and are not a substitute for personalized medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Relaxation Is Power: Dr. Jim George on Poise Under Pressure
Aug 21, 202625 minS0

What separates a fluid professional golf swing from an amateur gripping the club as tightly as possible? According to Dr. Jim George, one of the biggest differences is the ability to regulate tension: relax, contract powerfully at the right moment, and then relax again.

In this episode, Dr. George joins Dr. Clayton Skaggs to explore how that same principle applies far beyond sport. They discuss muscle activation, contract-relax techniques, responding to pain signals, preparing for stressful moments, and deliberately building more relaxation into ordinary life.

Jim also reflects on more than two decades at the...

She shares how her relationship with movement, travel, gardening, and occasional pain signals has changed, and how small daily cues have become tools she can use with greater confidence.

The conversation centers on a simple but powerful idea: progress is easier to recognize when we learn to notice...
Patience + Precision: Melissa Filla on Building Trust in Recovery
Aug 21, 202617 minS0

Patience in recovery is not passive waiting. It works alongside trust, precision, clear objectives, and the gradual accumulation of physical capacity.

In this episode, Melissa Filla joins Dr. Clayton Skaggs to offer a practitioner's perspective on helping people through persistent pain and long recovery processes. Melissa explains why simple recommendations can require tremendous trust and why understanding a client's perspective matters when progress takes time.

The conversation includes a clip from Mark's recovery story and another example of a highly active client who temporarily stepped away from paddle boarding, pickleball, hiking, and weightlifting. After reassessment...

If you have a concern about deliverability, AI quality, data privacy, or whether this will actually work for your specific situation, it's probably answered below.
What is the difference between Founder Solo and Founder Pro?
Founder Solo gives you 50 AI pitches per month using the credit model (Standard pitches cost 1 credit, Enriched pitches cost 2). Founder Pro raises that to 200 credits per month and adds full Booking Probability access, unlimited Magic Match, Apollo enrichment credits, and data export capabilities. Both plans use the same credit system, so you can stretch your monthly budget further by using Standard-mode drafting.
How do agency tiers work?
Agency tiers have no base fee. You pay per managed client and per talent profile. Agency Standard is $199 per client per month; Agency Pro is $399 per client per month. Both add $39 per talent profile per month. Your own team's user seats are always free.
What is a talent profile?
A talent profile represents one person (founder, executive, or spokesperson) you are booking onto podcasts. It includes their bio, topics, headshots, and outreach history. Team plans include 5 profiles; agency plans are pay-as-you-go.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes, at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period. Contact support if you need help migrating between plan families.
Do you offer a free trial?
Every paid plan includes a 15-day free trial. Your card is saved at signup but you will not be charged until day 16. Cancel any time from your dashboard.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep access until the end of your current billing period. No charges after that. Your data is retained for 30 days in case you reactivate.
Is the 20% annual discount automatic?
Yes. Select Annual on the pricing toggle and the discounted price is applied automatically at checkout. The annual price shown is the full year cost.
What if I have more than 50 profiles or 20 clients?
That is our Enterprise tier. Contact our sales team and we will build a custom plan with volume pricing, a dedicated account manager, and SLA guarantees.
