My Son Died. Why Do I Still Believe In God?
“Why would you still worship a God who allowed your son to die?” I’ve been asked this question more than once since losing Luke. I wanted my son healed HERE. In my grief I’m having to ask myself: Was my faith built on what God could do for me or on who He is?… Because if I only call God good when life is good, what happens when everything falls apart? I can grieve and still worship. I can have questions and still trust Him. I can hate what happened and still believe He is good. I can ask “why?” and still call Jesus Lord. My circumstances changed. My family changed. My entire life changed. But God did not. “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” - Hebrews 13:8 So why do I still worship God? Because who else would I run to? He is the One who holds me in my grief. He is the One who defeated death. And because of Jesus, death does NOT get the final word. Even here, even in grief, even after burying my son, as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. #christian #grief #Worship
