Lucas and Luna sit down to dissect the mechanics of a resume that gets past the ATS and into human hands. In each episode, they take one real (anonymized) resume and walk through every line, every bullet, every verb choice — explaining why a hiring manager might stop reading or why a recruiter's eye pauses. Lucas, a former hiring manager turned career coach, uses his red marker to show what weak action verbs look like on the page; Luna, a professional writer, pushes back on vague phrases and asks the questions a candidate would never dare to ask. Together, they cover cover-letter logic (when to write one, when to skip), the economics of job applications (why 70% of hires come from referrals), and the psychological tricks of formatting (why a sans-serif font can cost you an interview in certain industries). Every episode is built around a concrete example — a finance analyst trying to pivot to product management, a mid-career marketer whose resume reads like a dictionary of buzzwords, a

Aug 16, 202610 minS4
In this episode of The Resume Room, Lucas and Luna dive into the tricky resume problem of a contract role that turned into a permanent position. They explore how to present the transition honestly without underselling the experience, when to list the staffing agency versus the client company, and how to frame the promotion from temp to full-time as a deliberate career win. Using a real-world example of a marketing coordinator who went from a six-month contract to a senior analyst role at a Fortune 500 consumer goods company, they break down the exact phrasing, bullet points, and interview talking points that turn a potential resume red flag into a compelling story of growth and recognition. How to Explain an Overqualified Job on Your Resume
Aug 15, 20268 minS4
In this episode of The Resume Room, Lucas and Luna tackle a tricky career puzzle: how do you present a job you were clearly overqualified for without underselling yourself or looking desperate? Using the example of a former marketing director who took a coordinator role at a nonprofit, they break down the framing that works — emphasizing intent, impact, and the skills you deliberately chose to exercise. They discuss how to address the elephant in the room in your cover letter, why your resume's summary should reframe your narrative, and how to talk about the job in interviews without sounding apologetic. Plus, they share a real-world example of a candidate who turned a 'step back' into a strategic pivot toward a new industry. By the end, you'll know exactly how to position an overqualified role as a calculated move — not a red flag. #OverqualifiedJob #ResumeAdvice #CareerStrategy #JobSearch #ResumeWriting #CoverLetterTips #InterviewTips #CareerPivot #JobApplication #ProfessionalDevelopment #CareerAdvice #WorkExperience #JobHunt #ResumeTips #Careers #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #TheResumeRoom Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo

If you have a concern about deliverability, AI quality, data privacy, or whether this will actually work for your specific situation, it's probably answered below.
What is the difference between Founder Solo and Founder Pro?
Founder Solo gives you 50 AI pitches per month using the credit model (Standard pitches cost 1 credit, Enriched pitches cost 2). Founder Pro raises that to 200 credits per month and adds full Booking Probability access, unlimited Magic Match, Apollo enrichment credits, and data export capabilities. How do agency tiers work?
Agency tiers have no base fee. You pay per managed client and per talent profile. Agency Standard is $199 per client per month; Agency Pro is $399 per client per month. Both add $39 per talent profile per month. Your own team's user seats are always free.
What is a talent profile?
A talent profile represents one person (founder, executive, or spokesperson) you are booking onto podcasts. It includes their bio, topics, headshots, and outreach history. Team plans include 5 profiles; agency plans are pay-as-you-go.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes, at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the end of the current billing period. Contact support if you need help migrating between plan families.
Do you offer a free trial?
Every paid plan includes a 15-day free trial. Your card is saved at signup but you will not be charged until day 16. Cancel any time from your dashboard.
