What was supposed to be a carefully planned weekend trip to Anchorage turns into the most Sam and Em travel adventure possible. A delayed flight out of Norfolk leads to a missed connection, an unexpected overnight stay in Dallas, frantic rebooking and a last-minute rescue from the organizers of the Anchorage Run Fest. Sam and Emily recap the people they met, the memorable meals that kept them going, their first impressions of Alaska and the pre-race briefing about bears and moose.
