10 Things I Wish I Knew Before My Cancer Diagnosis | 5 Years Late
Five years ago, I heard the words that changed my life: “You have cancer.” At the time, I thought healing was simply about treating what was happening in my body. But the last five years have taught me that wellness goes so much deeper. In this very personal solo episode of The Search for Wellness, I share the 10 things I wish I had known before my cancer diagnosis — the lessons that have completely changed the way I live, heal and take care of myself. We talk about stress, sleep, gut health, community, nature, boundaries, breathwork, movement, food and supplements — and perhaps the biggest lesson of all: learning to truly listen to my body. This isn't about saying there is one right way to navigate cancer. It's about sharing what my own journey taught me and the things I wish I had understood much earlier. Five years later, I can look back and see that some of the hardest moments of my life also became some of my greatest teachers. My journey has taken me from fear to faith — one breath, one choice and one day at a time. If even one of these lessons makes you pause, question something, or take better care of yourself today, then sharing this episode was worth it.
