The Toughest Finish Line
128 Marathons | Leodhais Macpherson’s Journey
After losing his brother, Leodhais Macpherson’s life took a completely different direction. Faced with unimaginable grief, he found himself on a journey that would eventually see him take on an extraordinary challenge: completing 128 back-to-back marathons. In this episode of The Toughest Finish Line, Leodhais shares the story behind the challenge, the reality of navigating grief while pushing his body to its limits, and how running gave him something to keep moving towards during one of the hardest periods of his life. But his journey isn’t finished. Leodhais is now preparing for another huge challenge: taking on all of the World Marathon Majors, using each finish line to raise awareness of grief and open up conversations about what it really looks like to live with loss and find a way forward. We talk about his brother, the highs and lows of those 128 marathons, what keeps him taking the next step, and why his next challenge means so much more than collecting medals. A powerful conversation about grief, resilience, purpose and discovering what can happen when you keep putting one foot in front of the other.
