Lucas and Luna sit down in a wood-panelled value-investing library to dissect the gap between intrinsic value and market price. Each episode takes a real company — from Berkshire Hathaway to a small-cap overlooked by Wall Street — and walks through a Graham-and-Dodd framework: calculating owner earnings, estimating margin of safety, and weighing competitive moats against macroeconomic headwinds. Lucas brings the balance-sheet rigor of a former analyst, while Luna challenges the assumptions, stress-tests the discount rates, and pushes for the human factors — management incentives, industry cycles — that numbers alone miss. This is not a stock-picking hotline. It is a methodical, numbers-first conversation about how to think about price versus value in an era of low interest rates, inflation surprises, and algorithmic trading. The listener is someone who already knows what P/E and ROIC mean but wants to hear two sharp minds argue over terminal growth rates, float valuation, and the psych

The Hidden Cost of Value Investing in a High Rate World
Sep 29, 20269 minS5
In this episode of The Value Investing Podcast, Lucas and Luna examine how the persistent interest rate environment is quietly eroding the apparent value of dividend-paying stocks. With the Fed Funds effective rate holding at 3.63 percent and market volatility pressing on small-cap indices like the Russell 2000, we explore why traditional metrics like price-to-earnings ratios are failing to capture the true cost of capital. Using concrete examples from energy and financial sectors, we discuss how high borrowing costs turn cheap-looking stocks into expensive liabilities, forcing investors to rethink what 'value' actually means in September 2026. #ValueInvesting #InterestRates #DividendGrowth #BerkshireHathaway #JPMorgan #ExxonMobil #CostOfCapital #FedFundsRate #PriceToEarnings #SmallCapRisk #Russell2000 #S&P500 #CorporateDebt #FinancialAnalysis #LongTermWealth #MarketVolatility #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
With the S&P 500 showing a fractured landscape where nearly half the stocks are moving against the index, Lucas and Luna dissect the true meaning of market breadth. They explore why traditional value metrics like price-to-earnings ratios are failing to capture risk in this specific economic environment, anchored by the Fed's flat rate at 3.90 percent and the divergence between large-cap stability and small-cap distress. This episode challenges listeners to look beyond headline indices and understand the structural disconnect reshaping portfolio construction right now. #ValueInvesting #MarketBreadth #SP500 #FedRates #LucasAndLuna #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #EconomicAnalysis #StockPicking #InflationData #PortfolioStrategy #SmallCapRisk #LargeCapStability #InterestRates #InvestmentTrends #FinancialLiteracy #MarketDivergence #September2026 Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
As the ten-year Treasury yield hits levels not seen in nearly two decades, the traditional value investing playbook is breaking down for debt-heavy technology firms. Lucas and Luna examine how rising borrowing costs are exposing hidden risks in AI companies that have prioritized growth over profitability. With interest on reserve balances holding at three point nine zero percent, capital is no longer free, forcing a re-evaluation of balance sheets. We drill into why cheap leverage once masked poor fundamentals and what this means for long-term stock picking in a high-rate environment. #ValueInvesting #AIEconomy #TreasuryYields #BerkshireHathaway #DebtCrisis #InterestRates #CapitalAllocation #FinancialLiteracy #MarketAnalysis #RiskManagement #GrowthVsValue #CorporateBalanceSheets #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #FinanceNews #EconomicOutlook #InvestmentStrategy #LucasAndLuna Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
How The 10 Year Yield Is Reshaping Value Investing
Sep 26, 20269 minS4
With the ten year Treasury yield hitting levels not seen in nearly two decades, traditional value metrics are breaking. Lucas and Luna examine how a high interest rate environment forces investors to rethink discount rates, redefines what counts as a safe margin of safety, and why cheap stocks remain dangerous when the risk-free rate climbs. They look at specific sectors like utilities and real estate where the math has fundamentally shifted. #ValueInvesting #TenYearTreasury #InterestRates #DiscountRate #MarginOfSafety #BerkshireHathaway #LucasAndLuna #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #FinanceStrategy #EconomicCycle #RiskFreeRate #CapitalAllocation #BondYields #StockMarketAnalysis #InvestmentTheory #GrahamDoddsville #LongTermWealth Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
Value investors often mistake current profitability for permanent competitive advantage. This episode examines how technological shifts and regulatory changes silently erode the economic moats of established companies. We look at specific cases where pricing power vanished overnight, leaving value traps in its wake. The conversation explores the difference between a wide moat and a temporary cost advantage, using real-world examples from energy and pharmaceutical sectors to illustrate why past performance is not always a reliable predictor of future cash flows. #ValueInvesting #EconomicMoat #CompetitiveAdvantage #BerkshireHathaway #WarrenBuffett #BenGraham #BusinessStrategy #CorporateFinance #MarketAnalysis #LongTermInvesting #RiskManagement #PricingPower #InnovationRisk #RegulatoryChange #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #InvestmentEducation #FinancialLiteracy Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo

What is the difference between Founder Solo and Founder Pro?
Founder Solo gives you 50 AI pitches per month using the credit model (Standard pitches cost 1 credit, Enriched pitches cost 2). Founder Pro raises that to 200 credits per month and adds full Booking Probability access, unlimited Magic Match, Apollo enrichment credits, and data export capabilities. Both plans use the same credit system, so you can stretch your monthly budget further by using Standard-mode drafting.
How do agency tiers work?
Agency tiers have no base fee. You pay per managed client and per talent profile. Agency Standard is $199 per client per month; Agency Pro is $399 per client per month. Both add $39 per talent profile per month. Your own team's user seats are always free.
What is a talent profile?
A talent profile represents one person (founder, executive, or spokesperson) you are booking onto podcasts. It includes their bio, topics, headshots, and outreach history. Team plans include 5 profiles; agency plans are pay-as-you-go.
