Lucas and Luna examine the state of virtual reality, from consumer VR headsets to enterprise metaverse applications. Each episode unpacks a specific hardware release, platform update, or market trend—Shannon entropy in VR locomotion, Apple Vision Pro’s supply chain, Meta’s Quest 3S sales figures—and debates what the numbers mean for developers, investors, and everyday users. They avoid hype and instead ask hard questions: Can VR reach true presence without haptic gloves? Will the metaverse remain a collection of walled gardens? How do software developers optimize for variable refresh rates across devices? Lucas brings journalistic rigor on industry revenue projections and patent filings; Luna challenges those numbers with real developer experience and user adoption curves. This show is for engineers building spatial apps, product managers evaluating VR rollouts, and investors parsing quarterly reports from HTC, Sony, and Pico. No product pitches, no CEO fluff—just two voices working th

How VR Is Making Car Design Review Feel Real
Aug 18, 20267 minS4
In this episode, Lucas and Luna explore how virtual reality is transforming automotive design review. They dive into a concrete example: how a major car manufacturer uses VR to evaluate full-scale 3D models before a single physical prototype is built. Lucas explains the shift from clay models and 2D screens to immersive walkarounds, where designers can spot ergonomic flaws and aesthetic issues in minutes instead of weeks. Luna brings up the cost savings — roughly 20 percent off the design phase for some teams — and asks whether VR will eventually replace clay entirely. They also touch on the challenges: haptic feedback limitations, resolution constraints, and the need for realistic lighting. The episode includes a brief, sincere moment about listener support, tying the show's ad-free nature to the value of these deep-dive conversations. By the end, you'll understand why VR is becoming the new whiteboard for car designers — and what that means for the vehicles you'll drive in a few years. #VirtualReality #AutomotiveDesign #CarDesign #VRInManufacturing #DesignReview #3DModeling #ImmersiveTech #AutomotiveIndustry #ProductDevelopment #DigitalPrototyping #Ergonomics #ClayModeling #Ford #GeneralMotors #Technology #Business #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
How VR Is Training Surgeons for Rare Complications
Aug 17, 20267 minS4
In this episode of The Virtual Reality Podcast, Lucas and Luna explore a niche but critical application of VR: preparing surgeons for rare, life-threatening complications that they might only encounter once in a career. They dive into a recent study from a leading teaching hospital where surgeons trained in VR were able to handle a simulated aortic tear with 30 percent faster decision-making than those trained with traditional methods. The hosts discuss how VR allows for repeated, stress-inoculated practice without risk to patients, the psychology of 'overlearning' rare procedures, and why haptic feedback is the next frontier. They also touch on the ethical implications of training on virtual patients and the potential for VR to standardize surgical excellence across hospitals worldwide. A thought-provoking episode for anyone interested in the future of medical training and immersive tech. #VirtualReality #MedicalTraining #SurgicalSimulation #VRinHealthcare #HapticFeedback #PatientSafety #MedicalEducation #RareComplications #SurgicalTraining #ImmersiveTech #FutureOfMedicine #StressInoculation #Overlearning #TechPodcast #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #DigitalHealth #VRTraining Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
How VR Revolutionizes Job Interviews by Reading Body Language
Aug 16, 20269 minS4
Virtual reality is moving beyond gaming and training simulations to transform the way companies screen job candidates. In this episode, Lucas and Luna explore how immersive technology helps hiring managers evaluate body language, behavioral cues, and soft skills in realistic scenarios. Featuring insights from a 2025 pilot at a major European tech firm, they discuss the science behind VR assessments, the potential to reduce unconscious bias, and the ethical questions that arise when algorithms analyze candidates' movements. The hosts also share practical examples of how VR can help job seekers practice interviews in a low-stakes environment. Whether you're a hiring manager or a job hunter, this episode offers a fresh perspective on the future of recruitment. Tune in to discover how VR is reshaping the hiring landscape and what it means for your next interview. #VirtualReality #VRInterviews #HiringTech #BodyLanguage #RecruitmentInnovation #SoftSkills #TechEthics #FutureOfWork #HRTech #JobSearch #ImmersiveTech #BehavioralAnalysis #TalentAcquisition #BiasReduction #CareerAdvice #Technology #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
How VR Is Helping Paramedics Save Minutes in Emergencies
Aug 15, 20269 minS4
In this episode of The Virtual Reality Podcast, Lucas and Luna explore a fresh frontier in immersive tech: VR training for paramedics and emergency medical responders. They dive into how a simulated mass-casualty scenario at a major urban ambulance service cut on-scene triage time by 30 percent, and how VR is helping paramedics practice rare, high-stress procedures like advanced airway management without a mannequin. The hosts discuss the psychology of stress inoculation, why VR beats video training for muscle memory, and how haptic feedback is starting to make virtual patients feel unsettlingly real. They also touch on the challenges—like the risk of simulation sickness in a moving rig and the cost of building believable virtual environments. If you've ever wondered how first responders stay calm when every second counts, this episode pulls back the headset and shows you the training that saves lives. #VirtualReality #VRTraining #Paramedics #EmergencyMedicine #Healthcare #ImmersiveTech #Technology #MedicalSimulation #Triage #StressInoculation #HapticFeedback #Ambulance #FirstResponders #SkillsTraining #Podcast #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #TechPodcast Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
Lucas and Luna dive into one of the most intense applications of virtual reality: using immersive tech to manage pain during burn wound care and dressing changes. They look at a specific 2019 case study from the University of Washington's Harborview Burn Center, where VR cut patient-reported pain scores by up to 50% during procedures that are notoriously agonizing. The episode unpacks why VR works—not as a distraction gimmick but by actually engaging the brain's pain-processing pathways—and how this approach is being refined with modern headsets and haptics in 2026. They also touch on the broader implications for chronic pain management and the challenges of scaling this in hospitals. A concrete, hopeful look at how a 30-year-old idea is finally becoming standard practice. #VirtualReality #PainManagement #BurnCare #VRInHealthcare #ImmersiveTech #MedicalVR #HarborviewBurnCenter #UniversityOfWashington #DistractionTherapy #VRPainRelief #BurnWoundCare #DressingChanges #OpioidAlternative #ChronicPain #HealthcareInnovation #Technology #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
