Lucas and Luna look at Windows from the enterprise IT perspective — not consumer reviews, not gaming benchmarks. Each episode picks a single thread inside the Microsoft PC ecosystem: the security architecture of a specific Windows 11 Enterprise build, the licensing math behind a volume agreement, the compatibility cost of a deprecated API, or the deployment reality of a new Group Policy feature. Lucas walks through the technical detail with a journalist's precision; Luna asks the deployment and cost questions that matter to IT decision-makers. They do not speculate on Redmond's strategy or rehash Surface launches. They name the exact version numbers, the documented KB articles, the actual registry keys. The listener is expected to be someone who manages Windows at scale — a systems administrator, an IT procurement lead, a compliance officer — and who needs to understand what a patch or policy change means for their fleet before the vendor briefing deck arrives. No drama, no predictions

Windows 11 Enterprise Print Nightmare Two Years Later
Aug 20, 202612 minS4
In 2024, a critical vulnerability nicknamed 'Print Nightmare' forced IT admins to rethink Windows print architecture. Two years later, in August 2026, the enterprise desktop has quietly transformed. This episode drills into that shift: how Microsoft's response to Print Nightmare accelerated the move to cloud-based print management, why the Windows 11 24H2 update made the legacy print spooler a thing of the past, and what it means for IT departments still running on-prem print servers. Lucas and Luna walk through the timeline of the vulnerability, the technical fixes—like the new print support app and IPP Everywhere—and the practical reality of managing printers in a hybrid world. They also discuss the surprising holdouts: why some regulated industries still cling to legacy print drivers and what that costs them. If you're in IT or just curious about how a printer vulnerability reshaped an operating system, this episode gives you a concrete angle on a shift that's still unfolding. #PrintNightmare #Windows11Enterprise #PrintArchitecture #CloudPrinting #IPPEverywhere #PrintSpooler #ITSecurity #ZeroTrustPrint #HybridWork #PrintManagement #WindowsUpdate #EnterpriseIT #TechHistory #Microsoft #BusinessTechnology #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #WindowsPodcast Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
In this episode of The Windows Podcast, Lucas and Luna dive into how Windows 11 Enterprise is quietly redefining phishing resistance for the modern workforce. With 2026's threat landscape dominated by AI-crafted social engineering, the conversation zooms in on the new phishing-resistant credentials in Windows Hello for Business, the shift away from passwords and SMS codes, and the enterprise deployment story behind FIDO2 passkeys. Lucas breaks down the 'what' and 'why' with concrete stats: how phishing attacks have surged 40% year-over-year, and why passkeys cut account takeover risk by 99% in early adopter studies. The hosts also explore the friction points IT teams face when rolling out hardware-bound credentials, from legacy app compatibility to user training. Plus, a candid moment about how listener support keeps the podcast ad-free. If you're an IT admin or a security-curious Windows user, this episode gives you a clear picture of why passwordless isn't just a trend—it's the new security baseline. #Windows11Enterprise #PhishingProtection #Passwordless #FIDO2 #WindowsHello #EnterpriseSecurity #ITSecurity #ZeroTrust #Passkeys #SocialEngineering #CyberThreats #Technology #Business #LucasAndLuna #TheWindowsPodcast #FexingoBusiness #BusinessPodcast #AdFree Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
How Windows 11 Enterprise Is Rethinking App Compatibility
Aug 18, 20269 minS4
Enterprises are still running apps written before Windows 11 existed, and that's a problem for the 2026 IT team. In this episode, Lucas and Luna drill into how Microsoft has quietly shifted its approach to legacy app compatibility—from the new 'Compatibility Toolkit' to changes in the Windows App SDK and the role of desktop virtualization. They walk through a real-world example: a mid-size logistics firm modernizing a 20-year-old inventory app without breaking the budget. You'll learn why 'it works on Windows 10' is no longer enough, how the new 'App Assure' program differs from what came before, and what IT admins should test first when planning a Windows 11 rollout. If you're responsible for keeping old software alive on new hardware, this episode gives you a practical checklist and a few surprises about what Microsoft is (and isn't) doing in 2026. #Windows11 #EnterpriseIT #AppCompatibility #LegacyApps #Microsoft #BusinessPodcast #FexingoBusiness #TechNews #ITManagement #WindowsApps #AppSDK #Virtualization #CloudPC #AppAssure #CompatibilityToolkit #DesktopModernization #SoftwareMigration #EnterpriseTech Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
